Throughout February, Aveanna proudly celebrates Black History Month, a significant time to honor the legacy, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans who have influenced our nation and society.

Our commitment to acknowledging Black history extends beyond this month, as it deserves recognition throughout the year. We pay tribute to those who tirelessly challenge injustice and dismantle barriers to create an equal society for everyone.

Winter storm Fern may impact many of our patients and team members in the South and Northeast this weekend. Read more here: https://pulse.ly/yzau7llkjd

We encourage everyone in affected areas to remain vigilant and be prepared for the effects of this storm including possible power outages and road closures.

We want to make sure our Aveanna community is prepared. Patients and their families should follow these tips based on guidance from the Oley Foundation:

• If there is a true medical emergency please call 911.

• Make sure you have back up power or batteries ready for any medical devices or pumps you depend on. Keep a battery powered radio and your cell phone charged so you can stay informed.

• Plug in any medical equipment or devices that need to be charged (e.g., ventilators, feeding pumps, mobile phones, etc.)

• Listen to appropriate warnings from governmental officials advising of precautions and evacuations.

• Check with home care suppliers and medical providers NOW to ensure that you have enough medications and nutritional supplies (formula, HPN, etc.) to last at least 48–72 hours, in case of supply chain delays.

• Write down important telephone numbers in case you cannot access the contacts on your mobile phone. This includes, but is not limited to, your home care company branch, regional and national offices.

• For the most updated information on weather conditions visit the National Weather Service at https://pulse.ly/qdm2xi5aps

*If you are evacuated or relocated due to a weather emergency, notify your Aveanna team as soon as possible.

Be prepared and stay safe!

January is National Blood Donor Month, a special time to highlight the crucial role of blood donations and to honor those who give.

The American Red Cross states that every two seconds, someone in the U.S. requires blood. One donation can aid multiple patients, making your contribution vital in transforming lives. During the winter season, when seasonal weather and illnesses can impact blood drives, the need for consistent donations is even more important.

This month, become a lifeline for those in need! Find out more by visiting https://pulse.ly/odn3zr32es

A Message from Jeff Shaner, Chief Executive Officer, to our Aveanna Team:

Every January marks a time for new beginnings, new opportunities, and renewed optimism about the future. It’s a moment to reflect on what we want to accomplish, set bold goals, and commit to making this year our best yet.

At Aveanna, the opportunities before us in 2026 are extraordinary and made possible by the Power of One Aveanna. It’s the power of all of us—every team member, every service line, every innovative idea—working together as one. It’s also the power of each of us to make a difference. When we unite behind our mission, we create something bigger than ourselves. We create a force that transforms lives, elevates care, and drives value for those who trust us.

Let’s embrace this new year with confidence and determination. Here’s to an incredible 2026 and everything we will achieve together. Happy New Year!
