Ever wonder what your doctor is doing with the stethoscope during an exam? It’s a quick way to gather clues, confirm what we’re seeing, and decide whether you need any next steps or testing.

If something has felt “off” lately, or it’s been a while since your last checkup, it’s always okay to book a visit and talk it through.

Diabetes isn’t one-size-fits-all. Type 1 is an autoimmune condition where the body makes little to no insulin. Type 2 is when the body doesn’t use insulin well and may not make enough over time. Symptoms can overlap, like increased thirst, frequent urination, fatigue, and blurry vision, so testing matters if something feels off.

If it’s been a while since your last checkup, now’s a good time to schedule a routine visit.

ADHD can look like a lot more than “can’t sit still.” For many kids, teens, and adults, it shows up as time blindness, unfinished tasks, forgotten appointments, a brain that feels constantly “on,” or impulsive decisions.

If any of this feels familiar and it’s starting to affect school, work, or day-to-day life, it may be worth talking with your provider. You’re not alone, and there are real tools and treatment options that can help.

An X-ray is not something everyone needs, but it can be a helpful next step when your provider wants a clearer answer after an exam.

We may consider imaging for things like a cough that is not improving as expected, symptoms that raise concern for pneumonia, or injuries from sports or a fall, especially when there’s significant pain, swelling, bruising, or trouble using the area normally.

If you’re dealing with trouble breathing, high fever that isn’t improving, severe pain, deformity after an injury, or you can’t bear weight, it’s a good idea to be seen sooner.

Vitamin A supports vision, immune health, and healthy skin. It’s also a fat-soluble vitamin, which means high-dose supplements can build up in the body over time.

Most people can meet their needs through foods like leafy greens, sweet potatoes, carrots, eggs, and fortified options. If you’re pregnant, trying to conceive, taking retinoid medications, or already using a multivitamin, it’s a good idea to check with your provider before adding extra Vitamin A.
