Remember, do not give babies under the age of 2 months Tylenol unless instructed by your provider. You do not want to mask a fever in those little babies. No Motrin before 6 months

As we enter into RSV season, we are excited to offer Beyfortus to our patients! This can help reduce your child’s chance of hospitalization due to complications from RSV by up to 90%. Read below for helpful information on RSV and Beyfortus👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

-What is RSV? Respiratory Syncytial Virus is a respiratory virus that can cause common cold like symptoms. Babies entering their first RSV season are more at risk for RSV due to their immature immune system.

-Is RSV dangerous? RSV is the leading cause of hospitalization of babies under the age of 1.

-What is Beyfortus? Beyfortus is a preventative antibody injection. These antibodies help to support their immune system to fight off RSV. It offers protection for babies against RSV-related lung infections such as bronchiolitis.

-When can my baby get Beyfortus? We offer Beyfortus to our patients ages newborn to 8 months old.

If your baby has not already received Beyfortus, we encourage you to talk to your child’s pediatrician. We are here to help!
