Thank you, Senator Garlan Gudger and the Cullman County Legislative Delegation for your unwavering support. Today We Celebrate Funding For Good Samaritan Health Clinic and National Nurses Day!

Thank you to all nurses today as we celebrate National Nurses Day! We appreciate you and your profession!

Working together with my legislative colleagues Representatives Heath Allbright, Cindy Myrex and Tim Wadsworth, we’ve successfully secured an additional $500,000 for the Good Samaritan Health Clinic recently passed by the legislature.

Last year we secured $250,000 in the state budget and a $1 million ADECA grant for the clinic. We will continue to work for extra funding for them.

The Good Samaritan Clinic provides much needed healthcare to uninsured working families. I think it’s a good investment of state funds, a great example of working together and a good community partnership!

We are so grateful to have been part of the Together Toward Hope event last night and loved being seated next to our partners, Haven Counseling!

The Resource Fair showcased the mental health resources available to our community, and we want to say thank you to keynote speaker, Taylor Johnson, for sharing her story during the Storytelling Hour.

If you weren’t able to talk to us at Depot Park last night but still want to learn more about the mental health services available to the patients of Good Samaritan Health Clinic, we’ve got you covered.

➡️Here’s what you need to know: Our mission is to deliver sustainable, long term healthcare and all around wellness to the uninsured members of our community. Thanks to our partnership with the Stephen K. Griffith Memorial Fund and Garrison Gives Hope, our patients have access to mental health counseling services through Haven Counseling Services of Cullman, LLC. To qualify for mental health counseling, individuals must first apply and qualify for services through Good Samaritan Health Clinic.

➡️How do you qualify for services through Good Samaritan Health Clinic: If you do not have any health insurance, and are a resident of Cullman County, and between the ages of 19 and 65, and meet the household income guidelines, please complete an application. Paper applications are available at the clinic or you can print from our website at www.goodsamaritancullman.com.

➡️How much will my appointments cost: At Good Samaritan Health Clinic, we ask for a $20 annual service fee. Yes, annual. Not per visit. This annual fee gives you access to healthcare services through Good Samaritan Clinic, including the majority of your medications, at no additional cost.

🏥Once you qualify as a patient, we offer a full range of free services including lab work, dental extractions, hearing evaluations, select vision care, patient education, social services, and referrals for mental health counseling, specialty physicians, and diagnostic testing- completely FREE — no insurance, no problem.

🩺Patients must meet certain criteria to qualify to become a patient (uninsured Cullman County residents between the ages of 19 and 65 who meet the income eligibility). Please see the income guidelines on our website.

📞Call us today at 256-255-5963 with questions on how to qualify or visit our website at www.goodsamaritancullman.com.

📅April is National Volunteer Month, and we just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU!
💕To every person who has given their time, energy, and heart to support our mission over the last 22 years—you are the reason we are able to serve our community.
🏥We are so grateful to be surrounded by such compassionate, selfless people. A special thank you to these two ladies, Ann Harrison (Registered Nurse) and Conna Canada (Certified Audiologist) for their years of dedicated service. Ann has cared for patients here at the Clinic and out in the community by performing health screenings throughout the year. Conna faithfully supports our patients year round by restoring their ability to hear.
