Meet Judith Rodriguez, our wonderful Phlebotomist here at Vecinos.

She’s been part of our team for 1 year and 8 months, and her favorite part of the job is talking to people.

Judith’s current favorite book/movie is Like Water for Chocolate, a Mexican classic she loves.

This Thanksgiving, we at Vecinos extend our deepest gratitude to our community, our partners, and especially the farmworkers who make every meal possible. 🍂
As families gather around the table, we are reminded that behind every ingredient—every apple, every berry, every leaf of lettuce—are the hands of hardworking individuals whose contributions often go unseen. Farmworkers rise before dawn, work long days, and face challenging conditions to feed our nation.
At Vecinos, our mission is to support the health, dignity, and wellbeing of these essential members of our community. Their resilience is the backbone of our food system, and their stories motivate us to continue our work with purpose and compassion.
To the farmworkers and their families: thank you.
May we honor your labor not just in words, but through action, advocacy, and respect.

Tuesday Testimonials | Remembering Alfredo 🕊️🌾

One year ago, we lost Alfredo — a farmworker who came to work hard and support his family back home. His time here was short, but everyone remembers his kindness, humor, and generosity.

On October 20th, family, friends, and Vecinos gathered over homemade pozole to honor his life and traditions. His spirit still brings people together.

🤍 In remembering Alfredo, we also honor the many farmworkers whose work sustains us every day.
