The Culpeper spent an evening on the islands last night at our Hawaiian-themed Night Under the Stars! 🌴☀️

Guests enjoyed:
🎶 Live music from the Silver Tones Swing Band, sponsored by the VBH Foundation
🍴 An incredible culinary menu featuring Hawaiian favorites like ulu (breadfruit), opakapaka (red snapper), pineapple upside-down mochi cake, and more
💃 Dancing, festive décor, and wonderful community connections

On this day in 1865, news of freedom finally reached the last enslaved people in Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. We honor the resilience and contributions of generations who have shaped the story of freedom and progress for all.
