Today kicks off National Activity Professionals Week! Meet our Activity Director, Anne. Anne has been with Miller's for four years in May. She shared, " I like activities like 'Sip and Chat' or 'Reflect and Reminisce.' I like talking to the residents and making a connections through our shared life experiences, our shared likes, or just getting to know them. Every Trick-or-Treat event that I have been a part of here is always memorable. It’s always such a joy to see the residents get so excited to see the kids all dressed up for Halloween. I’m married to my husband, Brent. We have two girls ages six and two. When I'm not here I’m very active in my church, St. Thomas Episcopal, and teach Godly Play, our Sunday school program. I’m looking forward to having our VBS this year."

Howdy Ya'll! A very Happy Birthday to the one and only Dolly Parton! 🩷🎤🎂✨ This past Monday our residents enjoyed a positivity Patron Day! We did a quirky country song titles game in the morning and had a Dolly-themed party in the afternoon.

We had a blast listening to all of her hits, having some fun with our Dolly photo booth props and we enjoyed a Dolly food buffet, with coconut cupcakes and cuppa cuppa cake. We had such a fun day!

We made Campbell's Soup can vases with mason jars! It was great discussing our favorite soups, coloring soup cans, and talking about what veggies we want to grow this summer for soup!

Quack Quack! January 13th was Rubber Duckie Day! We decided one of the best ways to beat the winter blues was with a Duck Hunt. A scavenger hunt that is! Our residents and staff had a blast looking high and low to hunt down some rubber ducks, and two lucky people found the golden ducks and won a gift basket. Congrats to Kaylee, our Therapy Department Head, for finding the staff golden duck and Betty for finding the one for residents!

Viva Las Vegas! Our residents celebrated the one the only King of Rock and role on the 8th this past month in honor of his 91st birthday! We started the day with some Elvis themed exercise and Elvis trivia. We then had a drive-in movie day and watched Viva Las Vegas and had some treats! Our residents enjoyed some Blue Hawaiian punch, all shock up popcorn mix, and devilish good looks devils food cakes!

National Buffet Day was recently and we decided to have an afternoon snack buffet for residents and staff. From chips and dip, to cookies and sweeter treats – we had it all! It was a great chance to have a snack and enjoy each other company!

Indiana, our Indiana, Indiana, we're all for you! Go IU! New Years Day brought with it the Rose Bowl game and we had many residents a buzz waiting to watch the game and see IU beat Alabama! We decided to have a tailgate party. We had some snacks, watched the Rose Bowl Parade, and then enjoyed a great game with IU delivering a great win against Alabama!
