May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Across the country, Mental Health America is asking buildings and landmarks to raise awareness by lighting up green (the color for mental health awareness), from May 4th-18th. In doing this, you will help reduce stigma and increase awareness for both adult and children’s mental health! If you are an Allegany County business, and would like to participate but have no green, please contact the Local Behavioral Health Authority at 301-759-5070 or achd.bhso@maryland.gov.
