URGENT RECALL NOTICE: INFANT FORMULA 0-12 MONTHS
Brand: a2 Platinum Premium USA infant formula 0-12 months
Reason for recall: Potential presence of toxin, cereulide.

There has been a recall involving a2 Platinum Premium USA brand infant formula 0-12 months. This product is being recalled due to the presence of cereulide, a toxin.

Cereulide is a heat-stable toxin produced by some strains of the bacterium Bacillus cereus. Illness occurs through the consumption of food contaminated with the toxin and preparing formula with hot water does not eliminate it.

This product was sold via a2MC's website, Amazon, and Meijer stores.
