Our inaugural public safety candidate forum provided valuable insights, including the importance of 1) rotating question starters among candidates, and 2) the notable absence of two candidates for the top public safety position, the county SHERIFF, with David Morgan clearly recognizing the importance of listening and understanding the ideas of his soon to be elected partners, David Morgan is the right choice for Sheriff.

We would like to thank all of the candidates who took the time to discuss the issues in Allegany County. Forward in partnership.

So sad

The National Fraternal Order of Police regrets to report that as of midnight on 28 February, there have been 62 officers shot in the line of duty in 2026. Of those officers shot, 7 of them were killed.
