As we close the chapter on 2025, we find ourselves reflecting with profound gratitude on the sacred trust you have placed in our Cumberland Valley and Johnson Funeral Homes family. To each family who allowed us to walk alongside you during one of life's most difficult journeys, we say thank you from the depths of our hearts.

It has been our greatest honor to serve you during times of overwhelming loss and grief. We recognize that inviting us into your family's story during such a vulnerable moment is a privilege we never take lightly. Your trust in us to care for your loved ones with dignity, respect, and tenderness has been a responsibility we have carried with the utmost reverence.

Throughout this past year, we have witnessed the strength of the human spirit, the depth of love that binds families together, and the beautiful ways you have celebrated the lives of those who meant so much to you. As we gather with family and friends this Holiday season, we at Cumberland Valley and Johnson Funeral Homes want to extend our warmest wishes to you and yours for a very Healthy and Happy Christmas.

During this special time of year, we hold close in our hearts those who are walking through the holidays carrying the weight of loss. If this is your first Christmas without your loved one, or if the absence of someone dear still echoes through your celebrations, please know that you are not alone. The empty chair at the table, the missing voice in familiar carols, the longing for one more embrace, we understand these feelings deeply, for we too have suffered loss.

While the sadness may feel overwhelming at times, we encourage you to cherish the beautiful memories you shared. Those precious moments, the laughter, the traditions, the love, for these are treasures that time cannot take away. They are gifts that continue to warm our hearts even in the coldest seasons of grief.

My grandmother was a very smart lady, and when my heart was heavy, she would always say: "Just give it to God and walk away. He can handle what we can't, we just need to ask."
