Residents enjoyed a bus ride to Rocky Gap State Park to dine al fresco! Under a pavilion, we enjoyed an array of sandwiches, sides, and drinks, as well as laughter and conversation. Under the shade, we enjoyed a wonderful breeze coming off Lake Habeeb until thunder rumbled in the distance. Mr. Ted said, "It was a great way to end the day" and everyone agreed!

A rhino, a Schnauzer, and a panda walked into the dining room.
Just kidding! But they did race through it! Residents enjoyed Stuffed Animal Races! It was a race to get the ribbon attached to their designated stuffy wrapped around the section of pool noodle, drawing it closer to them first for the win! Winners were awarded stuffies for their prize! Congratulations to winners Julia, Ruthie, Norma, Rosemary, and first place contestant Erma!

Fan favorite entertainer Donnie was joined by a slimmed down off-season Santa and Mrs. Claus for a Christmas in July party! The highly attended event included cupcakes and punch, a sing along of our favorite holiday tunes, a snowball fight, and the entertainment of Donnie and the Clauses! Residents and staff had holly jolly good time!

Baby, it's warm outside, but inside, it's Christmas in July! And we love every chance to play Bingo, so our residents played Christmas in July Bingo! There were prizes, Christmas cookies, and decorations to put us in the seasonal spirit!

Families were welcomed to decorate residents' wheelchairs for Wheelchair Beautification Month in the month of July! It was exciting to see a patriotic wheelchair in the hall on the fourth floor. The resident's daughter created the look, which included smiley faces in the centers of the wheels. Thanks for participating!

At Allegany Health Nursing and Rehabilitation, we like to take time to stop and smell the flowers, and the sisters of Creekside Flower Farm made it much easier to do! Dozens of mini bouquets were delivered to the facility, each wrapped in paper and a bow, and handed out to residents. It was hard to contain our smiles and instincts to stick our noses in the beautiful small bundles! Big thanks to Casey and Marcy of Creekside Flower Farm for thinking of us and for generously sharing your seeds and good deeds!

What does shaved ice and big smiles have in common? Kona Ice treats for staff and residents! The Kona Ice truck parked in our parking lot and staff slipped out in the heat to get a cool treat. Residents stayed in the cool comfort of their rooms while Joy and Marife delivered a variety of flavors to each floor, bringing smiles to everyone! What flavor would you choose?
