We accepted the challenge as a Skilled Nursing Facility to share "Moments in Bloom", inspired by fresh spring looks. Since our facility is nestled in the beautiful mountains of Western Maryland, capturing blooming moments was fun and easy!

We are so happy to have the most knowledgeable, caring, giving, dependable crew of RNs and LPNs here at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehab! They enjoyed lunch and desserts, gifts, door prizes, and comradery amongst themselves.

SHOUT OUT TO GIANNI'S PIZZA & WINGS IN CUMBERLAND!! 🍕
When this locally owned and well-liked business realized they had an overflow of pizzas one evening, they decided not to waste them. Instead, they knew that HEALTHCARE WORKERS deserved them! They were dropped off and the staff of each floor enjoyed the treat!

May 10-16 is National Skilled Nursing Facility Week. The theme is "Moments in Bloom". We are asking everyone to wear their most floral designed clothes throughout the week! For staff (following dress code guidelines for your position), think flowery scrub tops for Nursing Aides, Housekeepers, and Dietary; tropical button-ups for Maintenance; and floral tops and dresses on the first floor! For residents and visitors: be creative and comfortable!
We look forward to seeing all the blooms next week, and sharing on Facebook!

We are proud and honored to have our very own inhouse beautician here at the facility, and we hope she knows just how much we appreciate her! For Hair Stylist Appreciation Day, we showered The Salon's Linda G with love and appreciation for the work she does on our residents! Each resident, be it a man or a woman, comes out feeling confident, gorgeous, and loved under Linda's special care and attention.

YOLO... have some lumpia! food truck will be parked at our facility from 10:30-1:30 for your Filipino meets Appalachian lunch needs! Try their lumpia (think longer spring rolls), pansit (gluten free stirfry noodles with veggies or veggies and meat), hearty mac n' cheese bowls, and sweets! We appreciate Appreciation Days, and this week, we had a doozie of a day! For Administrative Professional's Day, besides our 3 fabulous receptionists (Laura, Carolyn, and Luann), we celebrated all of the administration that didn't get their own complete day of celebration. So, a huge hug of thanks and appreciation for all the hard work and commitment from the Business Office (Tina and Nancy), Medical Records (Diamond), Admissions (Liz), Human Resources (Kelly), Staffing Coordination (Sam), Social Services (Lynn and Carrie), and Nutritionists (Hana). Together, with our Hostess and Administrator, Ms Debra, we enjoyed a delicious lasagna lunch, complete with salad, bread, pies, beverages, gifts., and laughter!

We have been celebrating Earth Day since 1970. This year's theme is "Our power, our planet". Earth Day is a yearly reminder for us to reduce, reuse, and recycle!
Did you know...
