Bladder health tip for women 🥤💧: urinary urgency can often be influenced by the beverages we consume. Certain drinks may irritate the bladder and lead to increased urgency or discomfort, so being mindful of your choices while maintaining proper hydration can help support better bladder function and improve overall urinary health within urogynecology care.

Bladder health tip 🥤

What you drink can affect your bladder and urinary health for women. Certain beverages can contribute to bladder irritation and increase urinary urgency, leading to discomfort with urination. Being mindful of your intake and staying well hydrated can help support better bladder function and reduce these symptoms.

Have you noticed vaginal sagging, pressure, or a bulge after childbirth or during menopause? Many women experience Stage 2 pelvic organ prolapse, when the bladder (cystocele) or re**um (rectocele) drops to the vaginal opening.

I recently cared for a patient who experienced these symptoms after three vaginal deliveries. She opted for a vaginal native tissue repair, using her own tissues, not mesh, and not abdominal surgery.

Recovery was straightforward, and she regained comfort, confidence, and quality of life.

If you’re living with Stage 2 prolapse, know there are safe and effective solutions to restore your comfort, control, and confidence. Contact me at 770-292-4200 or visit drtugbiyele.com to schedule a consultation.

Every patient is unique and deserves to feel valued, respected, and cared for with compassion and understanding.

Providing individualized care and working closely with each patient to determine the most appropriate treatment plan is central to my practice. Pelvic floor conditions require early and thorough evaluation, effective communication, and a treatment plan specific to each patient’s needs.

It means a lot when someone trusts me and my team with their care and experiences a smooth recovery. Knowing they felt supported throughout the process is always rewarding for us.

If you or someone you know is experiencing pelvic floor symptoms, support and treatment are available. You can learn more or schedule a consultation by visiting drtugbiyele.com or calling 770-292-4200.

Gynecologist, Urologist, or Urogynecologist. Whom should I see for my prolapse?

I meet many women, especially after childbirth or as they get older, who begin to notice pelvic pressure, a feeling of heaviness, or even a vaginal bulge. Many of them assume this is just part of aging. It is common, but it is not something you simply have to live with or accept. These symptoms may be signs of pelvic organ prolapse.

As a specialist in Urogynecology, I focus on the evaluation and treatment of prolapse and other pelvic floor conditions. An early evaluation can help clarify what is going on and allow us to discuss treatment options that may improve your quality of life.

Bladder health is often overlooked.

I answer common questions about the bladder, including signs of an unhealthy bladder, what incontinence is, what causes bladder prolapse, and how women can lower their risk.

➝The bladder stores urine and helps empty it from the body
➝ Symptoms may include leakage, urgency, pressure, pain, or a vaginal bulge
➝ Risk factors include vaginal childbirth, aging, smoking, obesity, constipation, and repetitive heavy lifting
➝Pelvic floor muscle exercises and healthy lifestyle choices can help reduce risk

Bladder issues should be addressed early. Please do not ignore your bladder.
