The holidays are almost here and we wanted to remind everyone, a little early this year, about our holiday hours! We will be closed again the week between Christmas and New Years, so please remember to come get your pets medications filled prior to the 24th! We will have some emergency/urgent cares listed on our voicemail in the event you need anything while we are out. You can also text our main line with non-emergency matters and we will check that as soon as we are back in the office! Happy Holidays everyone!! ❄️⛄🎄

We often express love to our pets in the form of food, whether that is treats, extra kibble here and there, or human food. Although they enjoy it, it is extremely easy for them to gain weight and not as easy to lose it. We have included some information to help with maintaining a healthy weight for your pet and what to avoid/watch for when choosing treats. Major is a 9 month old border collie who has been a little nervous when he comes to see the doctor. We recommended happy visits to allow us to form a bond with him outside of routine or sick visits. After a couple of months, he now gets so excited to roam around the clinic and get snuggles and treats! We love getting to see him and are so glad his happy visits have been helping! 🥰

The vet can be scary, and our goal is to make your pet as comfortable as possible so that fear does not worsen or escalate into aggression. Sometimes that means postponing what we had planned for the day to try again with some calming medications on board, or schedule some happy visits to help their confidence! ❤️
