What a strange day. I woke up to my middle finger knuckle that won’t bend and my left eye socket is sore like a bruise. Weird things.

I’ve been sitting on this page for a while now and not really sure where to take it or how to start a dialogue, so I’m just going to throw something out there. I’ve been super sick for a week now with what started as the flu and has now morphed into some kind of chest thing. Having Lupus makes you hyper aware of your body. It also means that you are likely to get what everyone else has 4 times as bad. It’s exhausting. Once the family is over their illness, you are often left battling the same illness for days or weeks after.

Infections can create major inflammation throughout your body and throw you into a flare. Rest, hydration and anti-inflammatories and possibly steroids are the protocol. What works for you?
