Regardless of the state of the world keep taking care of yourself, your mind, your body, your family, it’s not time to give up, it’s time to double down.
We started the day with the ‘Lemon-Ginger Blast’ green juice, made famous by Lou Corona. It really is the best boost when you want to double down on your health efforts. It was followed by a delicious yellow dragonfruit. They’re so hydrating!
One of the practices teaches is to have a fresh juice every morning and nothing else for at least 20 minutes.
I actually start with a probiotic and glass of water followed by nothing for 15 minutes. Doing both these practices back to back has been so beneficial. It ensures you rehydrate correctly prior to starting your day, eating or even drinking caffeine.
When we sleep at night, we are consistently breathing out water, which means we are dehydrating throughout the night. We are also detoxing, our brains will only detox when we go into deep sleep. This is why doing everything you can to rehydrate in the morning is going to give you the most focus and clarity. Then later, I will have a tea for that extra boost and warmth.
JuiceGuru gives great tips to create this habit. You can start with just having an apple every morning and nothing else for 20 minutes. My back up go to has been; hand squeezing orange or grapefruit juice/straining/adding some water, the master-cleanse lemonade, a morning premade wellness shot with water, followed by a lemon water, pre-making my juices, you could also do a smoothie or a piece of fruit just to get in the habit of it.
