Tofu scramble wraps with sautรฉed kale and avocado slices for breakfast. ๐ ๐ฏ
โก๏ธ Ever since finding out that it takes; 6 hours for protein to digest, 4 hours for fats, 1-2 for veggies and instant or up to an hour for carbs, I have been trying to eat accordingly.
โก๏ธ Amazingly juices are instant even when they have vegetables and greens added ๐๐ฝ So I still start the day with at least a pint of juice or lemon water with nothing followed for at least 20 minutes. This way my body always starts with rehydration first.
โก๏ธ Keeping most fruit and sugar separate from high fats or excess protein will keep them from fermenting and causing bloating and digestive issues. Itโs also best as the quick pick me up prior or during physical activity. Think instant energy and organ/gi tract detoxifier, so better on its own.
โก๏ธ Eating this way kills bad cravings throughout the day, gives me more steady energy, allows me to have more fun with options for dinner because I donโt need to suddenly consume most my protein at the end of the day and BEST of allโฆ. Keeps my mood more grounded.
โก๏ธ Itโs still important to consume some protein after a workout, even if itโs later in the evening. With cycling coaching I donโt get to choose the time I workout so I will still take a protein shake right after and unfortunately on those days I have a later dinner too but keeping all my other workouts at least 6 hours prior to bed time helps keep these healthy habits on point.
