📱 Your nervous system might be on high alert… even if you don’t notice it. Subtle signs include irritability, avoidance, feeling numb, or doom scrolling—that endless swipe through social media feeds that feels “just for a minute” but somehow turns into an hour. 😬

Doom scrolling is addictive because our brains are wired for novelty and social connection. Every like, comment, or shocking headline triggers a small dopamine hit—the same chemical your brain releases when it experiences reward—keeping you hooked. Over time, this constant stimulation spikes stress hormones, disrupts your focus, and prevents your nervous system from settling. You might feel drained, anxious, or even disconnected from the present moment without realizing why.

Try this instead: put your phone down, take a deep breath, step outside, or just notice your body. Small breaks like this help regulate your nervous system, calm stress, and restore your energy. 🌿
