We once believed the lie, “I’m not enough. I’ll never measure up. My past defines me.”

But recovery is rewriting that story.

Sometimes transformation shows up in small, unexpected ways—like putting on a suit jacket. What feels like just fabric and thread can silence old lies and spark new truths: “I have worth. I carry dignity. My tomorrow can be different.”

This Transformation Tuesday, we celebrate more than sharp clothes. We celebrate the shift from false beliefs to God’s truth, from brokenness to belonging, from surviving to truly living.

When a man in recovery begins to see himself differently on the outside, it’s a reflection of the deeper work God is doing on the inside.

Sometimes the greatest motivation isn’t found in a quote or a speech. It's found in the faces of the ones who never gave up on us.

Addiction strains families, but recovery gives us the chance to rebuild what was once broken. Every hug, every smile, every proud parent standing beside their son is a reminder of why we fight for freedom every single day.

Most of all, it’s a reminder of God’s faithfulness—the One who restores what was lost and makes all things new.

This Motivation Monday, let this picture be a promise: healing is possible, families can be restored, and hope is never out of reach.

Freedom isn’t just a word—it’s a reality we get to witness here every day.

It’s the freedom to finally breathe without the weight of shame. The freedom to live forgiven and whole. The freedom to use our gifts, our voices, and our lives for something greater.

But baptism isn’t the finish line—it’s the starting point. After the water comes the walk. It’s showing up daily, choosing truth over lies, light over darkness, and brotherhood over isolation. It’s the small steps that lead to a life of real freedom.

As we look back on baptism and step forward into what’s next, we’re reminded that freedom in Christ isn’t just about what we’ve been saved from. It's about what we’ve been set free for.

This is Freedom Friday. This is life made new.

Recovery isn’t meant to be walked alone. Every day here, we sit shoulder to shoulder with brothers who understand the fight, the pain, and the hope.

Today we’re thankful for the one who sits in the chair beside us—the brother who listens when we need to talk, who prays when we’re struggling, who laughs with us when joy returns.

That chair isn’t just a seat—it’s a reminder that we don’t do this alone. And for that, we’re grateful.

Who’s sitting “in the chair beside you” in your life? Tag them or thank them today.

Last Friday, our campus was alive with celebration. Families gathered, staff stood shoulder to shoulder, a band filled the air with songs of hope, and tables overflowed with food. A few of our very own residents even joined the band, using their gifts and talents to glorify God—a beautiful picture of redemption in action.

But the real celebration happened in the water. Twenty-one of our residents stepped into baptism, declaring publicly that their old life is gone and a new one has begun. As each man rose from the water, cheers broke out, tears flowed, and heaven rejoiced.

It was more than a moment—it was a movement. Freedom that no chain of addiction can bind. A future that no past mistake can erase.

On this Work Wednesday, we celebrate the most powerful work of all—transformation. This is the reason we labor. And this is the kind of work that only God can do.

At No Longer Bound, even something as simple as a bell becomes a tool for recovery.

Each month, a class takes responsibility for ringing the bell at certain times during the day. It may seem small, but it carries weight. If we miss it, we have to “get right” in front of the rest of the men.

It’s not about punishment—it’s about growth. The bell teaches us accountability, responsibility, and the importance of being on time. It also creates stronger bonds with the brothers in our class, because we’re in it together. When one succeeds, we all succeed. When one stumbles, we all learn.

Sometimes, the loudest lessons in recovery don’t come from grand gestures, but from small disciplines that shape who we’re becoming. And for us, the bell is one of those tools.

What’s one small daily habit that’s shaped you in a big way? Share it below—we’d love to hear.

Recovery takes courage. Not the loud kind that roars for attention, but the quiet strength that shows up every day, even when it’s hard.

So many of us spent years running from pain, hiding from truth, and fleeing from the battles inside. But in recovery, we are learning to stand firm. To face our fears head-on. To discover the lion that’s been inside us all along.

“The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.” – Proverbs 28:1

This week, let courage rise. Whatever you’re facing, whether it’s temptation, fear, or doubt, remember that there is a lion inside of you. And in community, that roar becomes even louder.

Drop a 🦁 in the comments if you’re choosing boldness over fear this week.

Meet Joe. His story is a reminder that freedom in recovery isn’t just about breaking chains—it’s about finding new life, new hope, and new joy.

Joe shares what freedom means to him today, and how recovery is opening doors he never thought possible.

Freedom is real. Recovery is possible. And Joe is living proof.

Watch his story, share it with someone who needs hope, and drop a word of encouragement for Joe in the comments!

We thought gratitude was about the obvious things—money in the bank, food on the table, a good night’s sleep.

However, recovery has taught us something deeper. Sometimes the things we complain about in the moment are the very things that save our lives.

We didn’t know we’d be thankful for being told “no.”
For cold showers that woke us up.
For early mornings when we had to face ourselves.
For brothers who loved us enough to call us out.
For the pain of Step Four and the freedom that followed.
For hard conversations that felt like cuts but healed like surgery.
For the chance to start over again, even when we thought we’d run out of chances.

This Thankful Thursday, we’re not just giving thanks for the obvious blessings. We’re giving thanks for the grind, the stretching, and the grace that showed up in ways we never expected.

Sometimes, the things that almost broke us are the very things God uses to rebuild us. Even now, we are unfinished—being shaped by grace one day at a time.

World Su***de Prevention Day

Today, we stand together to shine light into the darkness. Su***de has touched too many lives, and we know the weight of hopelessness all too well. But we also know the truth that hope is real, recovery is possible, and life is worth living.

At No Longer Bound, we fight every day for men who once felt like giving up. We’ve seen despair turn into purpose, joy being restored and the power of community.

The image you see isn't just a huddle—it’s a symbol of men locking arms, choosing to walk through the hardest moments together.

If you are struggling, please hear this: You are not alone. There are people who love you, who will listen, and who want to walk with you through the pain.

Let’s replace silence with conversation, despair with hope, and loss with life.

Need help? Call or text the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline at 988. Free, confidential and 24/7.

One of the most powerful tools we gain in recovery is connection. In the later phases of our program, we step outside the walls of campus and attend local AA meetings.

These gatherings give us the chance to experience recovery in the wider community—to hear new voices, meet new people, and be reminded that we’re not walking this road alone. They also help us prepare for life after the program: finding sponsors, building support networks, and seeing what long-term recovery looks like in real life.

AA meetings aren’t just another box to check but a reminder that freedom is possible, one day at a time.

Drop a word of encouragement below for our men as they take this next step!

Remember when you were little and the world felt wide open? When you believed you could be an astronaut, a hero, a world-changer? When the only thing bigger than your dreams was your imagination?

Somewhere along the way, life, pain, and choices chipped away at that belief. But here’s the truth—that kid is still in you. The one who believed anything was possible is still waiting for you to say, "We’re going to try again."

Recovery is not about becoming someone new—it’s about returning to who you were before the world told you otherwise. It’s about picking up that child’s courage and walking forward with it.

Today, choose to believe like that child again. Write down one dream, one step, or one prayer you’ve been too afraid to take, and take it.

“For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” — Matthew 19:14

Our Story

If addiction breaks your heart, there is help and a resource—No Longer Bound. Since 1991, No Longer Bound has been at the forefront of addiction recovery. As one of the few long-term, faith-based, clinical, and residential programs in the nation, No Longer Bound is a place for men battling addiction to find acceptance, connection, and new life.

Our mission is to rescue addicts, regenerate men and reconcile families.

As a 12-month program, men have ample time to gain valuable vocational training in one of our two revenue-generating industries—Cars4Recovery and NLB Thrift. With 100% employment at the time of graduation, men completing No Longer Bound leave free from addiction and ready for a second chance at life. Located in Cu***ng, Georgia (a northern suburb of metro Atlanta), NLB is situated on a 14-acre campus and has capacity for 56 men. NLB’s regeneration program reaches beyond the symptom of addiction and ministers to the whole man--mind, body and spirit. In addition to the 12-month residential program, NLB offers Family Recovery classes and a 6-month internship program for men who've graduated the program.
