Kids move between being regulated and dysregulated every single day - and that’s completely normal!

When a child is regulated, you’ll notice things like calm bodies, flexible thinking, and curiosity. Dysregulation might look like yelling, shutting down, or covering ears when the world feels “too much”. Neither state is “bad” - it’s just information about how they’re feeling in the moment. At Nurturing Minds, we focus on helping kids build the tools to return to calm through play, movement, and sensory supports - so they feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. 💛
