One of our latest reviews.....
"Sam is THE therapeutic massage guru! I have had ongoing issues due to scoliosis & a degenerative hip but Sam knows how to work out the kinks & stiffness so that I can move with more freedom & less pain. He targets restricted joints/muscles with a variety of tools (hands, cups, Theragun). My chiropractor recommended Sam to me & says that Sam's massages makes it easier to adjust me. He is conveniently located right off exit 13 on 400 in a quiet office park that offers plenty of free parking. Sam is the one you want to call for blessed relief!" - T.E.

🏋️‍♂️ ATHLETES: Want to train harder, recover faster, and move better? 🧠💪
If you're serious about performance, it's time to think beyond stretching and foam rolling. đź’Ą
Let’s talk about three powerful recovery tools every athlete should know:
🔹 Gua Sha – This ancient scraping technique boosts blood flow, breaks up fascia, and helps reduce soreness and inflammation. Great for speeding up recovery and improving mobility.
🔹 Cupping Therapy – You’ve seen those circular marks on Olympic athletes, right? Cupping increases circulation, relieves deep muscle tension, and flushes out metabolic waste — perfect after a hard training session.
🔹 Trigger Point Therapy – Say goodbye to stubborn knots and tight spots. This technique targets specific problem areas, improves muscle function, and helps prevent injuries before they happen.
💥 Combine them and you’ve got a recovery routine that helps you:
âś… Reduce pain
âś… Improve range of motion
âś… Recover faster
âś… Prevent injuries
âś… Optimize performance

Struggling with pain issues? Feeling stressed?
Here are 5 key benefits of Trigger Point Therapy below. To schedule a session with Sam, go to www.purefitnesshealth.com. $20 off for new clients.
1. Pain Relief
Trigger point therapy targets “knots” or tight muscle fibers that cause referred pain. Releasing these points can significantly reduce both acute and chronic pain, including headaches, neck/back pain, and joint discomfort.
2. Improved Range of Motion
Tight muscles can restrict movement. By releasing trigger points, this therapy helps restore flexibility and range of motion in affected areas, making movement easier and more comfortable.
3. Better Posture
Trigger points often develop from poor posture and muscle imbalances. Therapy helps relax overactive muscles, which can correct alignment issues and improve overall posture.
4. Enhanced Circulation
Releasing muscle tension improves blood flow to the affected area. This can promote healing, reduce inflammation, and increase oxygen delivery to muscles.
5. Reduced Stress and Tension
Trigger point therapy can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, inducing a relaxation response. This leads to reduced physical and mental stress, as well as better overall well-being.

Dealing with headaches, sinus issues, TMJ or neck pain? Cranial Sacral Massage at Pure Fitness & Health in Cu***ng may be just what you need!
Here is some great information about the benefits of CSM:
1. It Targets the Central Nervous System.
Cranial Sacral Massage focuses on the soft tissues and fluids surrounding the brain and spinal cord. By applying light pressure, practitioners can influence the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, which in turn helps to improve the function of the central nervous system.
2. It’s More Than Just a Head Massage.
While the name might suggest that it’s all about the head, CSM actually involves gentle manipulation of the entire craniosacral system, which includes the head, neck, and spine all the way down to a triangle shaped bone at the end of your spine called the sacrum. This approach aims to release tension and improve the body’s natural healing processes.
3. It’s Gentle and Non-Invasive.
One of the most appealing aspects of Cranial Sacral Massage is its gentle nature. The pressure applied during a session is often no more than the weight of a nickel, making it a safe and non-invasive option for people of all ages.
4. It Can Help with Headaches and Migraines.
If you suffer from frequent headaches or migraines, CSM may offer relief. By releasing tension in the craniosacral system, this therapy can reduce the severity and frequency of headaches.
5. It’s Beneficial for Chronic Pain.
Cranial Sacral Massage has been found to alleviate chronic pain conditions, such as fibromyalgia. By improving the function of the central nervous system, CSM helps to reduce pain and improve quality of life.
6. It Promotes Relaxation.
CSM is an excellent option for those dealing with stress or anxiety. The gentle touch used during a session promotes deep relaxation, helping to calm the nervous system and reduce overall stress levels.
7. It Can Improve Sleep.
If you’re struggling with sleep disorders, CSM might be worth exploring. This therapy can help improve sleep quality by balancing the sleep-wake cycle and calming the nervous system.

Gua Sha is a user friendly technique that can help you create space and manage pain in your forearms and hands.

A simple way to treat chronic muscular tension and restriction of the neck is a technique called Gua Sha. This was first developed by the Chinese a few thousand years ago. It works very well for most & is still being used by many clinicians today. This along with different types of cupping form the foundation of my clinical work. Gua Sha is so user friendly that most people can do it at home.
You don’t need any fancy tools - just the back edge of a butter knife will suffice. Just make sure to tilt at a 45 degree angle for the most benefit.

Here is a good overview of cupping, which has become increasingly popular in recent years. A skilled practitioner is extremely important if considering this intervention. Sam has been using cupping in his practice for many years now and more than 1/2 of his clients incorporate it into sessions. Cupping creates space by stretching muscles and fascia in the body and as a result pain reduction and increased mobility are very often seen. This intervention also helps with blood and lymph flow. Nerve conduction can be also be improved.
To schedule an appointment with Sam, see comments below.
Popular among athletic trainers, cupping therapy has many health benefits similar to acupuncture. Benefits include pain relief, alleviating muscle soreness and boosting relaxation.

Sam graduated from the Atlanta School of Massage in 2003 with a certification in Clinical Massage Therapy. Upon completing the program, Sam began his clinical practice while also teaching and supervising students at ASM. Sam later added to his credentials and experience by obtaining his personal training certification from ISSA in 2010. With his background as both a clinical massage therapist and certified fitness trainer, Sam can offer clients an experience that very few can. He has an in-depth knowledge of the human body especially in the areas of anatomy and physiology and is skilled at applying his training to real life scenarios. Sam has been able to successfully coach clients in the areas of nutrition (disclaimer: he is not diagnosing, treating or claiming to cure specific conditions) and lifestyle as well due to his own personal experience. In 2007, after the birth of his son, Sam was 70 lbs overweight and had severe metabolic issues forming including pre-diabetes and hypertension. By implementing a nutrient-dense paleo style of eating, Sam lost all the weight by the end of 2008 and has kept it off ever since without effort. And most importantly, his metabolic health improved dramatically. Quality sleep, lots of sun and good light exposure, healthy forms of movement and stress reduction are all also part of Sam’s regimen.
Maija Giganti
Maija obtained her Primal Health Coach Certification from Mark Sisson’s Primal Health Coach Institute and coaches clients both one-on-one and in group/online settings. Her health journey also began after the birth of her son in 2007. After years of dealing with depression, blood sugar issues (PCOS), hormonal issues and chronic fatigue, she realized that changes needed to happen. Working with a trio of qualified practitioners (an integrative doctor, a chiropractor and a naturopath) she was able to get answers to underlying issues. Diet change (to a paleo template) was a huge first step – by getting lots of good fats and avoiding grains and sugars, many symptoms improved rapidly. Toxicity had to be addressed as well. This included getting rid of toxic products, ongoing processes to detox the body from years of exposures and supporting methylation (to help body excrete toxins better). As time has progressed, Maija has focused more and more on other aspects of health such as proper forms of exercise, good sleep, stress reduction, sun and red light exposure, EMF reduction, improving mindset (probably the toughest thing!) and spending time in nature.
