Did you know? Georgia law limits the use of the center turn lane to no more than 300 feet before making a left turn. This lane is not for driving long distances or merging into traffic — it's strictly for preparing to turn safely across oncoming lanes.

Stay safe by following these rules:

Only enter the center lane when you're within 300 feet of your turn.

Never use it as a driving or passing lane.

Yield to vehicles already in the turn lane.
