Congratulations to the Cunningham Wildcats on their win Friday evening! We enjoyed watching you play. We even got to see some of our Hilltop staff/students do what they love outside of caring for our residents!

Our Sewing Club has been working hard again and we are now selling raffle tickets for our “Winter Wonderland “ Holiday Quilt Basket!! Proceeds go towards Hilltop Manor’s Activity Fund. If you have any questions please contact us!

Activity: Veterans Day program
Story: Veterans Day was celebrated with our Veterans and friends from American Legion Post #86 in Pratt, Ks. We enjoyed some wonderful fellowship, cookies and our Veterans received a certificate and pin for their service to our country.
We’d like to give a special shoutout to Rivercross Healthcare for providing cookies, pins and certificates for our veterans. And a thank you to AL Post #86, for taking time to come visit and make our Veterans Day celebration a special event!

Activity: Journal Club
Story: Here at Hilltop we have a Journal Club where we like to write and discuss different topics. We follow the book “The Story of my Life” which has you tell the story of your life, because no one knows it better than you! It’s something that can be passed down to your family after you’re gone. A great way to preserve and reminisce about our lives and memories.

During the month of October Hilltop had a door decorating contest where staff helped residents decorate their doors for Fall/Halloween. We had the Cunningham high school cheerleaders come and judge the doors! Everyone had a great time!! Our 1st place went to Stan and Julie, 2nd place went to Terry and Cheri and 3rd place went to Janet/Carin and Isabel/Ava!
Thanks to everyone who participated and to the Cunningham cheerleaders for judging!!

Activity: Halloween cookie decorating with Shannon Thimesch.

Story: Shannon with “The Rolling Pin” brought her wonderful cookie decorating talent to share with our residents. Each resident got to decorate two very tasty cookies. It was a fun learning how Shannon designs and decorates her cookies. The best part of course, was eating them!!! Thank you Shannon for sharing your business with us!
