What's the difference between a routine eye exam and a medical exam?
Routine Eye Exams Purpose: To update eyeglass or contact lens prescription and check general health of your eyes.
Medical Eye Exam Purpose: To diagnose, treat, and manage existing eye conditions or urgent concerns. Such as medicines, glaucoma, pressures, cataracts, dry eyes, macular degeneration, flashes, floaters
When to Choose Which
Routine Exam
Select this option for your regular yearly check-up if you do not have any symptoms.
Please note: The doctor WILL NOT provide prescription refills, referrals, or letters of any kind during a routine exam.
Medical Exam
Select this option if you are experiencing symptoms or if a medical condition is identified during a routine exam.
If additional services are needed during your routine exam, it may be converted to a medical exam.
