Advocacy Update from the Boutique Cigar Association, Inc.

In response to California’s proposed “unflavored to***co list” regulations, the Premium Cigar Association (PCA), together with the Boutique Cigar Association (BCA) and the California Premium Cigar Association, submitted formal comments challenging the emergency measures.

These regulations impose costly fees and vague requirements that unfairly target premium handmade ci**rs — products proven not to contribute to youth access or public health concerns. The burden could devastate small manufacturers, local shops, and limit consumer choice across California.

We stand united with PCA and our industry partners in urging the Attorney General’s Office to adopt common-sense solutions that protect small businesses and preserve premium cigar culture.

Today I had the pleasure of sitting down with the STILTSVILLE cigar, set to hit the market in February 2026.

I’m sampling the Toro 5 ¾ x 54 vitola, a substantial cigar, draped in rich Pennsylvania Broadleaf. Inside is triple-fermented to***co, with the final fermentation taking place in 32-year-old white oak barrels crafted in Kentucky, once used to age bourbon, and later to mature an award-winning Dominican rum. From first light to the final draw, it delivers full flavor with a medium-to-full body, layered in richness from start to finish.

Every time we release a new cigar, it’s the result of 2–3 years of work. We obsess over the details, fine-tuning the blend until we know it’s worthy of the time you’ll dedicate to enjoying it.

From first light to final draw, it should be an experience that captivates you, one you’ll want to revisit again and again. This is a full-bodied, full-flavor cigar built to earn a place in your regular rotation.

As with all Kafie 1901 blends, STILTSVILLE is designed to complement our portfolio, creating a balanced “menu” that offers something for every mood, from light to medium to dark to***cos.

As with many of our blends I get people wanting to sample a blend before the official release date. Our team and I have been working on this project for years.
