We believe that Sleep Health Solutions offers clear, substantial advantages. Sleep studies are tests that watch what happens to your body during sleep. The studies are done to determine what is causing your sleep problems. While the patient sleeps, the technician gathers data from the following tests. Polysomnogram (PSG)

-A polysomnographic study can be used to detect a multitude of sleep disorders. This test records several body functions during sleep, including brain activity, eye movement, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, heart rate and rhythm, breathing rate and rhythm, the flow of air through your moth and nose, snoring, body muscle movements and chest and abdomen movements

Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)

-If a multiple sleep latency test (MSLT) is being done, you will need to stay at the sleep lab for part of the following day. During an MSLT, you will take a series of scheduled naps beginning the morning after your overnight stay. The purpose is to see if the patient falls asleep during these short periods of time, how long it takes to fall asleep, and which stages of sleep the patient has during the intervals.

-Between naps, you are encouraged to stay awake and move around. The amount of time it takes for you to fall asleep and the patterns of your sleep will be monitored using most of the same equipment used during the polysomnographic studies. This test helps the physician differentiate between narcolepsy and other disorders of excessive somnolence. Multiple Wake Test ( maintenance of wakefulness test) (MWT)

-To assess one’s level of alertness. You will be asked to stay awake without napping during the testing period. You will be monitored with most of the same equipment used during the
-Polysomnographic study. We offer the following treatment assessments

-CPAP Polysomnogram titrations
-Bi-Level Machine pressure titrations and assessments
-Mask Fittings
-Positive airway pressure machine assessments

What treatments are available? For some, treatment may mean adopting new bedtime routines, and improving sleep hygiene. For others, treatment may involve medications or nighttime use of a CPAP machine. In Home Testing

Sleep Health Solutions offers your patients a convenient and accurate sleep evaluation in the comfort of their own home. In addition, your practice may be eligible for technical component reimbursement. You and your patient avoid the scheduling delays due to everyday life challenges and the sometimes inconvenience associated with sleep labs scheduling. Sleep Health Solutions offers a unique service to physicians and physician groups by providing a system of sleep screening for “at risk patients” that present with multiple co-morbidity issues. Our test results offer a snapshot of your patients sleep health that allows you to quickly analyze your patient's overall sleep hygiene. The report enables you to better select patients that are most appropriate for more extensive sleep analysis procedures such as PAP titration, dental devices or even surgery. CPAP Therapy and Equipment

The most effective and least invasive means of treating sleep apnea is with positive airway pressure. Positive airway pressure is the treatment of choice for all patients with moderate or severe sleep apnea and for most with mild but symptomatic obstructive sleep apnea. Goals of Treatment

The goals of treatment with CPAP are to improve health and overall well-being. The specific objectives are to improve the quality of sleep and to reduce the number of apnea events to safe levels. Improved sleep quality usually alleviates the symptoms caused by sleep apnea. The most common symptoms of sleep apnea that improve are sleepiness and fatigue. However, CPAP can also eliminate or at least improve other problems such as snoring, insomnia, lack of concentration, nighttime urination and frequent nighttime awakenings.
