Think “100% white meat” means healthy? Think again. Our new blog exposes how nuggets labeled as “white meat,” “all natural,” or “made with real chicken” often hide additives, fillers, seed oils, and flavor enhancers that can harm your family’s health. Read the full breakdown and learn what to watch for on ingredient lists. https://wix.to/qS4g2st

Most parents believe they are making a healthy choice when they see phrases like “100% white meat,” “all natural,” or “made with real chicken” on a food labels and packages. The marketing sounds clean, simple, and safe. But when you turn the box over and read the ingredient list, a very ...

There is something incredibly humbling about being invited into a family’s home just days after a baby arrives. This little one was only 4 days old when I made a house call last week, and the gentleness, precision, and intention behind pediatric chiropractic care never stops amazing me.

Birth is a big physical event, even when everything goes beautifully. A newborn’s nervous system is already adapting to gravity, breathing, feeding, digestion, and sleep. Gentle chiropractic care helps support that process by removing interference and allowing the body to do what it is designed to do.

Parents often notice improvements in comfort, latch, sleep, and overall calm when the nervous system is functioning optimally. No force. No twisting. Just light, specific contact designed for an infant’s developing spine and nervous system.

It is an honor to care for families at the very beginning of life’s journey.

If you are expecting or have a newborn and want to learn how chiropractic supports the nervous system from day one, we are here.

By the end of January into February, the excitement of New Year’s resolutions can start to fade. Snowstorms do more than slow travel ❄️ They place real stress on your spine and nervous system 🧠

Cold causes muscles to tighten and guard 🥶 This reduces mobility, increases joint compression, and changes how nerves communicate with the rest of the body. Shoveling adds sudden load to the low back and neck 🏋️ Slips, even minor ones, can jar alignment and create hidden inflammation ⚠️ Add disrupted sleep, dehydration, and stress, and the nervous system shifts into protection mode 🔒

What most people do not realize is that how your body handles cold and physical stress is determined by how well your nervous system is functioning.

Simple ways to protect yourself during and after a storm:

🔥 Warm the tissues before activity. Five minutes of gentle movement before shoveling can reduce muscle strain and disc stress.
💧 Stay hydrated even in cold weather. Dehydration thickens blood and slows nerve signaling.
⏸ Take breaks and change positions often. Repetitive bending under load is a common trigger for disc and joint irritation.
🛌 Prioritize rest and warmth after exposure. This supports circulation, immune response, and recovery.
🚨 Lingering stiffness, headaches, or back pain after a storm often mean your nervous system is still under stress.

Your body is designed to adapt. The spine protects the nervous system. When both are supported, resilience improves in every season.

You are not training just for how you look in the mirror. You are training for how you live your life.

Squats help you stand up from the floor and a chair with ease.

Deadlifts train you to lift groceries, laundry, suitcases, and yes… grandkids.

Strength training keeps you independent, mobile, and confident as you age.

The real goal is not six pack abs for many. It's the ability to move, lift, play, and live fully for decades to come.

What do you want your body to still be able to do at 70, 80, and beyond?

Balancing hormones is really about giving your body the right daily signals.

Manage stress by slowing your breathing, getting outside, and protecting your nervous system. Even 5 minutes of deep nasal breathing or a short walk can lower cortisol and help stabilize blood sugar and hormones.

Eat a nutrient-rich, hormone-supportive diet built around quality protein and healthy fats at every meal. Think eggs, grass-fed meats, wild fish, full-fat dairy if tolerated, olive oil, avocado oil, butter or ghee. Protein stabilizes insulin and supports muscle and metabolism. Healthy fats are the building blocks for hormone production and keep you full and steady.

Prioritize 7 to 9 hours of sleep in a dark, cool room. Aim for consistent bed and wake times. Deep sleep is when your body repairs tissue, balances cortisol, and regulates estrogen, progesterone, insulin, and thyroid hormones.

Exercise 4 to 5 days per week with a mix of strength training and gentle movement. Strength training builds muscle and improves insulin sensitivity. Walking, mobility work, and light cardio calm the nervous system and support lymphatic and detox pathways.

Limit toxins and hormone disruptors by avoiding plastic food containers, synthetic fragrances, harsh cleaning chemicals, and conventional personal care products. Choose glass or stainless steel, clean ingredients, and simple formulations whenever possible. Your liver and lymph system can only clear hormones efficiently when the toxic load stays low.

Small daily habits create powerful hormonal shifts over time.

Not all sweeteners affect your body the same way. Some barely move blood sugar and insulin, while others spike it fast and drive cravings, fat storage, and energy crashes.

If your goals are fat loss, stable hormones, and steady energy, the type of sweetener you choose matters more than most people realize.

Which one do you use most right now and did its ranking surprise you?

Save this, it with someone trying to lose weight, and follow for more simple metabolic truths most people are never taught.

Sugar wasn’t the villain... according to paid studies.

For years, fat was framed as the main dietary enemy, while sugar quietly avoided the spotlight. Later investigations uncovered that industry money played a role in steering scientific focus away from refined sugar.

The findings reignited debates about conflicts of interest in science and how corporate funding can influence what questions get asked and which answers reach the public.

It also raised a bigger issue: how much of modern nutrition advice was shaped by business, not biology.

Most people think the food pyramid is settled science.
It's not.

Long before ultra processed foods, seed oils, and sugar dominated our plates, physicians, scientists, and researchers were already questioning conventional nutrition advice and documenting the consequences.

If you really want to understand why the old pyramid failed and why a new one is emerging, start with the original voices who challenged it, decade by decade.
