I was invited to attend the World Health Organization’s Make Listening Safe initiative meetings because of being involved with the HELA (Healthy Ears Limited Annoyance) certification course. It’s fascinating to hear the international discussion about sound levels in venues, education of venue workers and music industry professionals alike (which includes the audience!), as well as political considerations. I’m thrilled that I get to be part of this today! It’s time to educate the general population and make listening safe for all!

It was a true JOY to be a guest of the Knowles Hearing Center at Northwestern University yesterday! Seeing the clinic, discussing creative care of the music industry, and spending time with the faculty was a pleasure. I’m already looking forward to next time. 👂 🧠 ♥️
