From the Baxter Springs, Kansas, Heritage Center and Museum comes a photo of a lead and zinc mining crew that includes Mack Arthur Inman (1898-1952). He is on the top row, second from the right, above the sign "We-Miners do our part for." It's from the early 1940s.

This is the investigation of the automobile accident involved in the death of Mack Arthur Inman on Aug. 23, 1952, in Hanford, California. Attached also is a subsequent autopsy that determined cause of death as coronary occlusion -- heart attack. Today my brother Dennis Inman would have been 72, and my parents would have celebrated their 79th wedding anniversary. RIP. I miss them all. :(

Today is the anniversary of my dad's death. It was Memorial Day, 1986 and he was looking forward to watching the Indy 50 for the first time on live TV. He had always listened to it on the radio while putzing around in the garage. It had rained in Indy on Monday, the 26th and was postponed until Tuesday...or, as it turned out, even a few days later. He died of a massive heart attack before he could watch the race. RIP daddy.
