Important news on a cold day!!

As we continue our merger with the Lexington Clinic, we do have some opportunities for employment! We will be adding a front desk/patient coordinator position in Cynthiana and a phlebotomy position in Paris. If you would like to work for a stable, physician owned and physician-led organization, check out the link below. Please note that even though these applications go through the Lexington Clinic website, these will be local positions in Cynthiana and Paris with our awesome Licking Valley Internal Medicine and Pediatrics crew!

Lots of alerts from various sources about measles. Measles is NOT a mild disease, and has significant health risks.

The measles vaccine is very effective, safe and well studied. Please make sure you and your family protect yourself from this extremely preventable disease.

Thanks to all of you who have been so supportive and positive of our merger with The Lexington Clinic!
We are a full go to merge and be known as “ Licking Valley Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, a part of the Lexington Clinic” by March 1.
Please remember that you may get a letter about insurance coverages “stopping” with one of our providers. Please contact us as most of these letters reflect that we will be billing insurance through a new contract number and our providers will continue to accept the vast majority of Medicare and private insurance plans - including remaining as a tier one option on the Harrison Memorial Hospital insurance plan.
Although we may not be scheduling patients for the first week of March, we are definitely scheduling patients going forward and in fact have been busier than ever over the past weeks of the new year.
Our Paris office will remain at its current location, but…….

Several of you may have received letters over the weekend that state we are no longer participating in your Medicare plans.
This is NOT correct in most cases - for example Humana Medicare plans.
As we merge with the Lexington Clinic, our contract numbers with insurance companies will change, and their computer systems interpret that change as a dropoff in coverage.
Please email darnold@lvimpeds.com if you have questions about your specific plan.

In observance of the Christmas Holiday 2025, our offices will close at noon today, Christmas Eve, and reopen on Saturday morning the 27th in our Cynthiana office - and on Monday the 29th in both locations. We wish a blessed and meaningful and joyful Christmas for all!

Big day in Cynthiana tomorrow, December 6! The Cynthiana Christmas Parade - sponsored by Cynthiana Lions Club - Kentucky takes place downtown kicking off around 5 PM.

Watch for our float! The theme this year is “Christmas Through the Decades” and our float - designed by our own Michelle Bates, Jama Osborne Rose and Nickie Roberts Power is themed “A Very ‘80’s Christmas” commemorating our practice’s presence here since 1981.
