🎒✈️ Life’s not always a straight shot to the top. Sometimes, it takes a detour through… Iowa.

Yep, Michelle and I are moving back to the Quad Cities. At first, all I could see were the negatives: small-town drama, cold winters (seriously, why can’t humans hibernate?), and the fear that it might derail my speaking career.

But with a little reframing (and a reminder from my coach), I realized this isn’t the end of the adventure — it’s just a pit stop. A valley on the heart monitor that proves I’m still alive and moving forward.

🚗💥 What do collision repair and personal growth have in common?

This week I had the privilege of delivering my keynote “Recalibrate Your Mind: What Collision Centers Can Teach Us About Mental Tune-Ups” to an incredible audience.

I shared my own journey through shame, forgiveness, failure, and rebuilding — and how the 5-step repair process you use in the shop is the exact same process we need to rebuild our lives, leadership, and confidence:

1️⃣ Awareness – facing the truth about the damage.
2️⃣ Tear-Down – releasing the hidden emotional trauma.
3️⃣ Frame Work – realigning with your core values.
4️⃣ Refinishing – painting a new vision of who you choose to be.
5️⃣ Final Check – living it every single day.

The message is simple: You can’t drive forward at full speed while dragging the damage — and the story — you refuse to face.
