Traditional chiropractic care consisting of adjustment only or adjustment + stim/tens is not the best option for higher level athletes. While it can be beneficial, it’s not maximizing your potential. Rarely does an athlete only need an adjustment, rarely does muscle stim do anything but reduce pain (while you’re doing it, it doesn’t last). Newer techniques like Graston, ART, fascial work, dry needling, etc are more ideal routes of treatment & recovery for athletes.

If you keep getting hurt even though you lift weights, listen up 👂🔈
Based on what we see in office:
1. Lack of rotational stability
2. Lack of muscle pliability (muscles ability to adapt to load in different positions/postures outside of what it’s normal motion is)
3. Lack of thoracic mobility —> lower back &/or shoulder injury
Just because we are strong doesn’t mean we are outside of our normal activity. So, trying something new can lead to injuries in this instance. Just because we’re strong doesn’t mean we have good mobility. Strength does not equal stability or mobility. Sure you can do 100 crunches but can you hold a plank on a ball for 1 minute. Sure you can deadlift 450lbs but can you get up off the ground without using your arms?
