This year Christmas was just not the same without Matt. I tried my hardest to keep the traditions of The Adamec household the same. From decorating for Christmas 2 weeks after Thanksgiving, per Matt’s request every year, to creating a last minute photo session with the boys, to wrapping presents or “bagging” presents at the last minute while watching the 24 hour marathon of The Christmas Story, to heading to bed at the wee hours of Christmas morning after setting the stockings, presents, and a Phoebe picture by the tree, to gathering with family on Christmas Day! All of those things were done and more! Matt, I felt your presence so much leading to Christmas and more so on Christmas day! I gifted the boys and my in-laws with the most precious gift of all! You will always be with us, my love! I love you always, and forever sweetheart!💙🕊️🤍

Wishing all of our Adamec Army followers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! From the bottom of my heart, Thank you for loving my family, supporting my family, and praying for my family! Love you all! In Matt’s famous words, “No one Fights Alone!”

It’s so hard to believe that it’s been 2 months since Matt’s passing. So much has happened since your passing, my love. The boys and I are thriving at school/work, Ryan was crowned Homecoming King at Cy-Fair High School, Aiden’s Hamilton Middle School Tigers Football Team won District Zone Champs, Ryan’s Cy-Fair Varsity Football Team went through 2 rounds in the playoffs, Ryan got into Texas A&M University Engineering School, a surprise birthday party was executed by Ryan and Beth, and so much more! The amount of people that have shown my family love is indescribable. Words will never be able to express the gratitude and appreciation that Ryan, Aiden, and I have for so many of our friends and family. From phone calls, text messages, prayers, cards, food, organizing the sale of Adamec Army merch. and so much more. Thank you! My family and I will forever be grateful! The boys and I continue to find peace knowing that Matt is pain free and is with our God.

Matt, as we continue into the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, I know that you will be right there with us! You are missed so much. We love you always!

From Erika-

Facebook Friends and family, I’m writing this post with a heavy heart. Yesterday evening September 22nd, Matt passed away peacefully after a 6 month battle with Glioblastoma. Matt’s kind heart, witt, and the love he had for all of those he knew will be missed tremendously. He filled our lives with joy, positivity, calmness, and love. The world has lost a wonderful man, but Heaven has gained him! As hard as it is for the boys and me to understand, Matt has gone home to the Lord. We find peace in that and have faith we will join him one day. Please keep Ryan, Aiden, and I in your thoughts and prayers as we grieve the loss of this amazing man that we continue to honor his life and the memories we had with him.

Today we received the best news! God is good!

Summer has come to an end, and the Adamec household is definitely in full swing with school and all that comes with it! Life has been a bit crazy around here!

Matt went in for his 2 month MRI scan last week! Today we met with his oncologist, and we are happy to report that the latest scan shows the tumor area is “STABLE TO IMPROVED.” There is nothing that suggests new tumor growth which is the main focus! Praise God! This is considered to be excellent news when being faced with Glioblastoma brain cancer where we know that there is no cure!

Matt has started his next round of chemotherapy, and he continues to take his trial drug medication.

These last 6 months have been challenging for our family, but we continue to be full of faith and love for Jesus. Our hope is to continue to pray for total healing and God to continue placing his hands on Matt!

The news we received today gives us reason to believe the treatment is working well.

We are thankful for the prayers and support, and we are thankful for the positive news today!

Things to pray for:
- Complete healing ✝️
- Physical strength for Matt as he continues chemo & other trial drug meds✝️
- Continued strong faith✝️
- Wisdom for his team of doctors ✝️
