For those of you who don't know. I am a 2nd generation immigrant. I was born and raised my entire life in Southern California. Los Angeles County, to be precise. This is my home, and ICE has invaded.
Please let that sink in. My parents came here from Mexico to live a better life than they had. They came here illegally and worked their way up to legal statuses using the opportunities they were granted.
My father learned, English, became a permanent resident who worked hard to provide for our family. He paid his taxes every year since he started working at 16.
My mother self-taught herself English, and if you ever spoke to either them, you would not even hear an accent. They were complimented often. She has her full American citizenship, which may actually mean nothing now.
Without them, I would not be here. Without them, this post would not be made. And to all those who I have healed and helped. It is because of them that I am where I am.
ICE is currently patrolling my city. So if you come to your appointment one day and I'm not there, please consider this may be a possibility.
For everyone who understands. I thank you always for your support, and I pray I can continue to help those who need it
