We’re growing all kinds of goodies: 🍃 Basil, Mint, and Rosemary

🌶 Spicy Red Peppers
🍆 Eggplants galore
🍇 A BEAUTIFUL Muscadine vine (Southern charm at its finest!)..and so much more!

Our amazing Chef Leo uses these fresh herbs and veggies straight from the garden in our kitchen — farm-to-table doesn’t get any closer than this! 👨‍🍳💚

There’s nothing quite like watching our residents enjoy gardening, sharing tips, and tasting the fruits (and veggies!) of their labor. It’s a place to grow, laugh, and connect — one plant at a time. 🌻✨

Last week, our residents at The Homestead Assisted Living had the incredible opportunity to visit The Wall That Heals — a moving replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that brings the power of healing and remembrance to communities across the country.

Walking alongside our residents as they honored the names, stories, and sacrifices of so many was both emotional and deeply meaningful. It's moments like these that remind us how important it is to connect generations and share in the weight and wisdom of history together.

We were also honored to share this experience with our friends from Summerfield of Gulfport. It was truly special to reflect, remember, and pay our respects side by side.

We’re grateful to be part of a community where our residents can participate in events like this — to feel, to remember, and to be reminded of the profound impact of service.

Another great night at Taste of South Mississippi 2025! ✨ We are so thankful not only to participate but also to sponsor this incredible fundraising event each year. It’s always an honor to support a cause that makes such a meaningful impact in our community. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by The Homestead’s booth to say hello and enjoy a taste of what Chef Leo had to offer! We love being part of an event that brings people together for great food and an even greater cause.

All proceeds from Taste of South Mississippi stay right here in our community, benefiting Kroc Center MS Gulf Coast programs and their scholarship fund—helping children access sports, art, music, camp, swimming, and more!
