He was the breadwinner.
The husband.
The provider.
The father.
The one everyone looked up to.
At 84, he still held his head high. Every fall? He got right back up. But then, little things started to slip.
He stopped caring about how he looked.
Missed showers.
Forgot to take his medications.
And for the first time ever—he forgot a birthday.
Then one morning… he didn’t get out of bed.
His wife noticed something was different and called their son. After a long conversation with both parents, they remembered they had long-term care insurance. “Maybe it’s time to use it,” the son said.
Dad refused.
