Notre recherche récente renforce le fait que les enjeux systémiques tels le surmenage, la discrimination et le manque de sécurité psychologique ont des impacts sur les médecins résidents à travers le Canada.

Nous annonçons la lauréate du Prix du bénévole par excellence de l’année 2024-2025 !

Nous sommes fiers de décerner le Prix du bénévole par excellence de l’année 2024-2025 à la docteure Christina Schweitzer, une résidente de cinquième année en chirurgie générale à l’Université de la Colombie-Britannique.

Ce prix honore les individus qui vont au-delà de leur service à l’égard des médecins résidents à travers le Canada. Les contributions de la docteure Schweitzer incarnent véritablement le leadership, l’engagement et le plaidoyer en l’honneur desquels ce prix a été créé. Au cours de sa collaboration avec MRC, Christina a été un membre du conseil d’administration, une entraîneuse du Soi optimal et une défenseuse pour les résidents, représentant la voix nationale des résidents au sein de comités nationaux clés. Ses actions de plaidoyer ont fait progresser des enjeux essentiels comme la protection des renseignements personnels des résidents, le permis d’exercice national, la défense des intérêts financiers et la réforme de l’enseignement médical.

Nous félicitons la docteure Schweitzer pour ce prix bien mérité et nous la remercions pour ses contributions exceptionnelles aux résidents et résidentes à travers le pays.

Announcing the 2024–2025 Outstanding Volunteer Award Recipient! 🎉

We’re proud to present the 2024–2025 Outstanding Volunteer Award to Dr. Christina Schweitzer, a PGY-5 General Surgery resident at the University of British Columbia!

This award recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond in their service to resident doctors across Canada. Dr. Schweitzer’s contributions truly embody the leadership, commitment, and advocacy that this award was created to honour. During her time with RDoC Christina has served as a Board member, Optimal Self Trainer and Resident Advocate, representing the national voice of residents on key national committees. Her advocacy has advanced critical issues like resident data protection, national licensure, financial advocacy, and medical education reform.

We congratulate Dr. Schweitzer for this well-deserved honour and thank her for her exceptional contributions to residents across the country!
