Read Lucas’ bio: “Lucas is currently accepting new clients for in-person and virtual family therapy, couples therapy, youth therapy, child therapy, and individuals.

I believe that our past creates a story about our life. Sometimes, our stories centre around trauma and hardships. Sometimes the most painful parts of our lives get centre stage, with our triumphs and happiness cast somewhere to the side. Along with the stories of our life, we take lessons that can be some version of, “I am not good enough.” I am here to tell you that you are not the problem. You are the solution.

Working together, we can understand more about our stories, and explore what dream versions we have of ourselves; something we may not even have known was possible.

I am a Social Worker with several years of experience working with families, couples, teens, and children in public agency settings, and in private practice. I am trained in therapies such as Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), Circle of Security, Emotion First Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I use a person-centered approach, meaning that we work together to understand which of the above interventions is the right fit for what each person needs. I am here to listen and support, and you decide where it is that we want to go.

I would love to support you in finding the next steps to better mental health.

Meet Alexia! Alexia works with adults and Youth (14+). Here is her bio: “Providing individual psychotherapy for youth 14+ and adults. Available for sessions to be in English or French.

"It can be hard to feel safe in a world that is constantly changing and when we are trying to understand how to cope with everyday challenges. In session, my role is to help you understand your nervous system, patterns and work with you to help build better coping skills and develop more self awareness. Throughout my life, I've noticed how the world is not always built with everyone in mind. I have experience working with people who are neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, struggling with health issues etc. My goal is to provide you with a comfortable and safe space where you can be your authentic self and talk about the challenges and hardships you face so you can become more aware of your values, patterns and stressors.

The main tools I use come from person centered therapy and Acceptance Commitment therapy (ACT). I believe that you as the client are the expert in your own experience and it is my job to help integrate strategies that will work for you and give you new perspectives. I also use techniques from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Regardless of what tools are used, I will make sure to check in with you to see how I can tailor my approach to your needs and how evidence based practices can support you best.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, autism, self esteem, trauma/trauma recovery, stress, burnout, chronic pain, LGBTQIA+ issues and establishing healthy relationships with others.

I am a registered psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have a Masters or Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa.

I encourage you to reach out to see if we are a good fit and I look forward to working with you."

“We are all on a continual journey of growth and change. Therapy can be an invaluable tool to support you in making decisions that are right for you, in a way that is reflective of your goals and needs. As your therapist, I will be guided by what works best for you, whether that be exploring and understanding your inner world, developing coping skills, navigating relationships or addressing any other concern that you may have.

Maintaining healthy relationships can be a strong motivator for positive change. With this in mind, I always offer an empathic and non-judgmental presence. In sessions, we will follow a pace that best suits you, whether that be approaching issues head on, or slowing down to explore them fully.

I practice using a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and mindfulness, with an integrative approach. I work from a client centered and trauma informed approach, always ensuring that I meet you where you are at, no matter where that may be. Additionally, my approach to therapy is evidence based, ensuring that the care you receive is well-tailored to you and is as effective as possible.

My areas of experience include working with individuals who struggle with depression, suicidal ideation, social or generalized anxiety and emotional regulation. I also have a specific interest in working with men who struggle with loneliness, conceptualizations of masculinity and emotional expression.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Psychotherapists. I hold a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Concordia University in Quebec.”

Psychotherapy services are covered by most extended health insurance benefits.

Meet Harjot Kaur - MA, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

“My priority as your therapist is to create a safe space where you feel comfortable to share your journey with me. I want to emphasize the importance of keeping an open dialogue and letting me know that you may not be ready for specific pieces of the puzzle. Sometimes it may feel that you are ready to speak about your experiences and as you are expressing your story you may notice feeling discomfort. It is safe for you to tell me you would like to stop or change the pace of the work. I am here to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental, and supportive environment for you to share and work towards your goals. As your therapist, I will support you in questioning, growing, and challenging yourself as you heal and find meaningful change.

I work with adults 18+ from an integrative and collaborative approach which means I draw from multiple approaches that fit your individual needs and work as a team to find what works best for you. Also, I draw from a culturally sensitive approach that helps me support individuals from various backgrounds. I am dedicated to being inclusive of the BIPOC and immigrant communities. The modalities I work from primarily are Emotion-Focused Therapy, Attachment-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I have experience working with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive (OCD), coping skills, burnout, emotion regulation, family conflict, peer relationships, self-esteem, boundaries, stress management, life transitions, grief, and racial identity.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have a Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University and a Bachelor's Degree of Honours in Psychology from the University of Ottawa.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey. It takes courage to seek support and my goal as your therapist is for you to feel supported, understood, and safe.”
