Public Statement from Sheikh District Resident: A Call for Peace and Stability

I urge all residents of Sheikh district to uphold peace and maintain stability. Let’s not rush to conclusions let the government respond, and allow it the space to fulfill its responsibilities.

Regarding the recent speculation surrounding the arrest of the Sultan Ahmed Mouse Ahmed as my opinion is not based on what we know, I personally do not believe his detention is directly linked to his press statement last night. His speech focused on legitimate grievances and accountability, and I saw no insult or inappropriate language in his remarks. Therefore, we respectfully ask the government to address the concerns the Sultan expressed and to provide clarity that reassures all of us.

In the previous administration under Muse Bihi Abdi one of the major criticisms was the arrest of influential community figures and respected leaders. I call on the current government and the President to avoid repeating this mistake, as such actions may lead to public outrage and strong opposition.

We urge today’s government to be one that genuinely serves the interests of its people one that brings unity, not division or distrust.

Finally, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families and nation mourning the youth tragically killed in the capital city of somaliland Hargeisa. May Allah grant paradise to the deceased and bring justice to the perpetrators.

To the government and leadership, we implore you: bring those responsible before the law.

Giving excuses to admins of Pharo secondary school (x-SOS) Sheikh

I don't see anything major to criticize about the principal of Pharo Secondary School, abut it’s clear that the local community and youth have misunderstood on going things.

It seems that the principal of Pharo Secondary school as a dedicated administrator who takes his job seriously. I would like to urge the people of Sheikh to stop the insults being spread on social media and instead adopt composure and full respect.
The educational institution in the district is something our people need — we are the ones who benefit from it.

We did not send them here to offer us jobs, but rather to educate our children — and they have done just that. So let’s approach this with dignity.
It is good for the school to take an active role in engaging with service exchanges and employment opportunities within the district and community. However, this is not a mandatory directive but a respectful request. It represents the best way for the school and the community to work together in harmony.

Therefore, I would like to suggest to the school principal to establish work-related and service-oriented engagement with the people of the community and to avoid actions that might lead to resentment or conflict
