When I was a kid I rarely wore shoes. I grew up in Florida maybe that made it more acceptable. I did suffer from multiple stubbed toes, thousands of sand spurs, and a few objects that stabbed deep causing a run home for the iodine or mercurochrome. đ (Iâm glad thatâs been banded) I still risk the outdoors going barefoot, however I choose where I walk now, unlike when I was a kid, I just flew out the door letting the screen door slam behind me for my next adventure. It might have been in the thick Bermuda grass or in the sandy patched backyard with sand-spurs, the woods down the street to find a tree to climb or ride my bike to a friends house and my favorite place was to the bay to sit on the dock watching the hermit crabs, pelicans and on a good day Iâd see dolphins. Ok, wow, I just went down memory lane. LolâŚ. Sorry for you, but I loved and still do love the outdoors. I love reading articles that back up what I feel is a natural, normal and healing way to live, like this one.
Walking barefoot or in minimalist shoes can prevent multiple health problems
