Tiffany Smith is always energetic in her role on our team at Hastings Public Schools, with a constant positive attitude. She loves feeding the students at Watson Elementary School! We're proud to feature her as our Friday Face this week.

Tiffany, seen here in the front of this picture with her teammates Innocencia, Dawn, and Brenda, is the first to help out anywhere she can. She is a people person who loves hanging with her family and friends. Her favorite hobbies include reading and riding her bike.

"We appreciate Tiffany because she shows up every day with a smile," said Kitchen Manager Brenda Svoboda. "She is willing to learn new things, and she is very outgoing. We're glad she is part of our team at Watson." We are, too -- thanks so much for living our values each day, Tiffany. You are appreciated!

Please join us in welcoming Angela Kelley to the Lunchtime team! Angela is the new Food Service Director at Worth County Tiger Talk R-III School District in Grant City, MO.

Angela has more than 12 years of food service experience, and her favorite part has been serving students. She loves that Lunchtime has unlimited fruit and veggie bars, to which she's passionate about ensuring all students have access. Angela has Associate degrees in nutrition and early childhood development. We are excited to have Angela's positive attitude and passion lead the team at the Worth County R-III School District. Angela is even a published author! In her free time she enjoys writing – she is currently writing a book.

We're going bananas over last week's Healthy Eating Week at Norfolk Public Schools Woodland Park Elementary! Our Kitchen Manager Ann dressed up as a banana, and Kitchen Helper Gail as Lunchtime's superhero Brocca Lee. They interacted with students while they went through the fruit and veggie line choosing fruits and vegetables. Looks like students got lots of variety on their plates!

There was also a coloring contest -- teachers picked winners from every grade and prizes were given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for each grade in morning assembly. How awesome!

At Canton SD School District, Food Service Director Mandy Grosky said she has never seen her students more excited than they were last week for Homecoming! Our team did a few special things to participate in the week and they were a hit -- especially serving lunch one day on Canton logo-printed frisbees. And at Canton Middle School/High School, students enjoyed blue raspberry (blue) and pineapple (yellow) Italian sodas. Many thanks to Ellie Stone Bride in Sioux Falls for the generous donation that enabled our team to buy the frisbees, and great job!

For Homecoming last week, our team at Norris School District #160 participated in dress up days and helped grill up cheeseburgers for each of the buildings. Here are some photos they were able to snap during the fun. Many thanks to Norm Pavlish and Dick Hollman for use of the amazing grill! There are some absolutely amazing partnerships our team at Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools have with their local producers. Cherry Rock Farms just provided them with fresh watermelon! 🍉 They are currently working hard to get all these amazing melons cut up to serve students!

We love partnering with schools to bring the fresh from the field to the cafeteria. Pictured here are our beautiful watermelons heading to O’Gorman to be enjoyed today. We grabbed them from the field this morning and loaded them directly on the truck. Food the way it should be, no middle man, no warehouse…just direct to the schools!

Stop out today and grab your own watermelon. Open til 6pm.

Our team at Dell Rapids School District was proud to serve 386 students and their senior loved ones at their Grandparents Day breakfast. Looks like everyone had a great time! Way to go!
