After many years in nursing, I thought I was a pretty good communicator. However, as a wellness specialist and health educator my ability to affect lifestyle change seemed to be limited. Based on my expert opinion, I told patients and clients what to do to get healthier but few seemed to follow my advice. I discovered the reason after I left my corporate job to go out on my own. Lost and confused

about what to do next with my career, a wise Nurse Coach guided me using coaching communication techniques without telling me what to do. She kept her opinion to herself and guided me toward discovering what I needed to do to bring joy back into my life again. I was then able to create a plan perfect for me which propelled me into my next career path as an independent practitioner. This change in energy and attitude happened after only three sessions – and I didn’t need counseling! I was so amazed and excited about the process and its power, that I immediately sought coaching training. I became a certified Mindful Coach - and also a Coach Trainer - so I could help other nurses realize their dreams. So what about you? Day 2 report from the 5-Day RESET Challnege:

Had a slight headache yesterday and some diarrhea. From past experiences I know day 1 is the most challenging for me but then I get in the groove. My belly is starting to flatten out a bit so I am seeing results!

Prepped my snacks for the day this morning
Having a strawberry shake today for variety.
Did Jazzercise online at 9
Will try the ginger tea for my gut issues.

Hi Friends!
It's Day 1 and I'm excited to share my journey with USANA's 5-Day RESET. My goal is to flatten out that belly and lose 5 pounds - and oh yes - stop those sugar cravings!
Here's how I started my Monday:
- Refreshing wake-up with a big glass of water
- Tasty Nutrimeal shake with whey protein - thick and creamy
- Took MyHealthpak supplements while sipping my shake
- Joined online Jazzercise for a fun workout
- Finished off my second glass of water during exercise by 10 AM
Feeling great and ready to tackle my day.

And yesterday I over-dosed and spent the night wide awake, losing my all important rejuvenating sleep time. It's not worth it!
So here are some self-care tips you can implement if you have fallen into the trap of binge watching the news and having restless nights.
1. Limit your news consumption to an hour a day. Stay informed but spare yourself the avalanche of anxiety-inducing updates.
2. Never underestimate the power of a good workout session! Whether you're a fan of Jazzercise (like me) or a brisk walk—exercise is your trusty companion in burning away stress.
3. Step into the great outdoors—commune with nature! Feel the sun on your face, breathe in the fresh air, and let it calm that racing mind. 🌳☀️
