I thought I was going to be a labor & delivery nurse.
Life had other plans.
Instead, I found my way into pelvic health and prenatal yoga, supporting women through pregnancy in a more holistic, connected way.
I advertised a pelvic health workshop for women a dealing with weak pelvic floors, leakage, and disconnection from their bodies. I was shocked by my clientelle...all women over the age of 55. And that has been the make up most of those workshops since.
Recently, a 72-year-old man recovering from prostate cancer became my client. I felt a little out of my league coaching a male student for the first time.
Tonight he told me, โThere are so many men my age dealing with thisโฆ and no one is talking about it.โ
Pelvic floor health isnโt just about pregnancy.
Itโs not just about women.
Itโs about your core system...your foundation.
When this system works together, everything changes.
If youโve been curious about your own pelvic health or you know you need support but donโt know where to start, feel free to reach out.
I offer:
โจ 1:1 Coaching
โจ Yoga for Pelvic Health workshops (for women and men)
Please note: I am not a medical professional. If you are concerned about the state of your pelvic health, I would recommend you consult a doctor or pelvic floor therapist. I am happy to provide you with local resources for support.
My next workshop is in collaboration with Robbie, a personal trainer at Method Gyms Prince Williams County. On Saturday, May 2nd at 12pm. A drop in rate for non-members is only $10 but please book in advance so we can expect you.
This session will focus on building strength, stability, and awareness in the pelvic floor and core. You can expect guided movement, education, and practical techniques to support posture, reduce discomfort, and improve overall functional strength.
