🍎🌳 Happy Johnny Appleseed Day from all of us at Reaching New Horizons ABA Therapy! 🌳🍎
We had an a-peel-ing time today celebrating the legendary Johnny Appleseed across all of our locations! From engaging literacy activities to delicious sensory experiences, our clients enjoyed a full day of fall-themed fun that supported learning through play.
📖 We kicked off the day reading the Johnny Appleseed story and watching the cartoon — sparking great conversations about kindness, nature, and helping others.
👨🍳 Then it was time to get hands-on! Our clients had a blast:
🍏 Making homemade applesauce and apple cobbler
🍬 Creating and decorating their own candy apples
🍎 Tasting and exploring a variety of apple treats — sweet, sour, crunchy, and warm!
🎨 We wrapped it up with apple-themed crafts, apple stamping, and sensory bins — building fine motor skills, communication, turn-taking, and social connections throughout the day.
These fun activities weren’t just delicious — they helped support language development, following directions, fine motor skills, turn-taking, sensory exploration, and social interaction.
We love making learning meaningful (and tasty!) 🍂

At Reaching New Horizons ABA Therapy, we had a bushel of fun today celebrating the legend of Johnny Appleseed! Through apple-themed crafts, sensory play, and interactive storytelling, our clients worked on fine motor skills, communication, turn-taking, and more — all while learning about kindness, nature, and giving back.
From apple stamping art to exploring apple textures and colors, today was a great opportunity to combine learning with fun fall-themed activities across all of our locations!
