Want to improve your digestion? The key might be in slowing down. 🧘‍♀️

Yin yoga targets your body’s deep connective tissues and fascia. The long, slow holds activate your parasympathetic nervous system, shifting your body into "rest and digest" mode. This improves blood flow to your digestive organs, helping them break down and absorb nutrients.

By gently compressing and stretching the abdomen, yin yoga can also encourage circulation and stimulate the wave-like movements that move food through your digestive tract. All of this works to calm the gut-brain axis, releasing tension and reducing stress-related digestive issues like bloating and discomfort.

“Community cat” is a term used to describe a cat who is unowned and lives outdoors. Both feral and stray cats are considered community cats. Community cats have a wide range of behaviors and degrees of socialization.

🐈A stray cat is one who has lived indoors and was socialized to people at some point. Perhaps she left or lost her home; or maybe she was abandoned and no longer has regular human contact. Over time, a friendly stray cat can become feral if she spends too much time without positive interaction with humans. Under the right circumstances, a stray cat can also become an indoor pet once again. Strays that are reintroduced to an indoor home after living outdoors often require a period of time to reacclimate.

🐈A feral cat is an unsocialized outdoor cat who has little to no physical contact with humans, or the contact that they've had was not always positive. Most feral cats are unlikely to ever become a lap cat or enjoy living indoors, but kittens born to feral cats can often be socialized if started at an early age and adopted into indoor homes.
