🫁 Stay Ahead of RSV This Season — Protect the Ones You Love!
With cooler weather on the way, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is making its return. This contagious virus can be especially dangerous for infants, pregnant women, and older adults—particularly those with existing health issues.
For Older Adults (60+):
▪ RSV can cause severe lung infections, lead to hospitalization, and trigger serious complications.
▪ The vaccine lowers your risk and helps protect those around you.
▪ Best to get vaccinated before or during RSV season (Sept–Jan).
For Expecting Mothers (32–36 weeks):
▪ The maternal RSV vaccine helps pass antibodies to your baby, protecting them for their first 6 months.
▪ May reduce the risk of RSV-related hospitalizations in infants by up to 72%.
For Infants:
▪ If mom didn’t receive the RSV vaccine during pregnancy, nirsevimab (Beyfortus) can provide months of protection.
▪ Recommended for all infants under 8 months during their first RSV season.
