A good fit starts long before the final device 👏

1. Plaster is used to create an exact mold of the patient's limb for a custom fit.

2. Plaster casting helps capture shape, alignment, and pressure areas for personalized support.

3. Using plaster allows us to build braces and prosthetics specifically tailored to each patient.

4. The plaster modification process helps ensure better comfort, function, and mobility.

Sarah serves our patients at our Shreveport, La clinic. She received a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana Tech University and her Masters degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from The International Institute of Orthotics and Prosthetics in Tampa Florida. She has a special interest in pediatrics and activity specific limbs.🦿 She finds joy in seeing God work in patients' lives. When Sarah is away from work, she enjoys hiking, camping, and rock climbing. We are thankful for all the ways you improve our patient's lives, Sarah! 🤩

Hunter’s story is one of strength, resilience, and hope. 💙

At just 10 years old, Hunter was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and endured months of chemotherapy, radiation, and ultimately an above-knee amputation. Today, he embraces life with his prosthesis with humor and resilience.

As his mother, Kristen shared, in the midst of his fight, four powerful words changed everything: “I’m getting a wish.” Thanks to Make-A-Wish Mississippi , Hunter was given something every child deserves during such a difficult time—hope, excitement, and something to look forward to. Hunter's wish to visit Harry Potter World at Universal Studios was granted!

Now, his family is paying it forward by raising funds so other children facing critical illnesses can experience that same joy and encouragement.
