Our Physician Spotlight series continues with one of the country’s leading Neurosurgeons specializing in robotics, Dr. Grant Booher.

Dr. Booher is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon specialized in the latest minimally invasive spine techniques and is much sought-after across Texas and the US for his skills in robotic assisted spinal surgery. “Neurosurgery is a lifelong passion,” Dr. Booher says. “When I was in 9th grade, I decided I was going to be a neurosurgeon and really never wavered from that decision.”

Transforming modern interventional medicine, robotic-assisted spinal surgery offers maximal precision and control, remarkably minimizing the risks of spinal surgery and quickening the recovery time. Dr. Booher’s interest in robotics comes from his dedication to find each patient the best possible spinal treatment. He believes in a conservative, individualized and holistic approach, offering the least invasive techniques possible and first after having exhausted all nonsurgical options.

Born in Arlington, Texas, Dr. Booher graduated with honors from the University of Texas with a BA in Neurobiology and Psychology, and earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Branch in Galveston. During his Neurosurgical training he completed a fellowship with special focus on robotic applications, making him one of the first in the country to train in advanced image guidance and robotic assisted techniques.

Dr. Booher was elected president of the Arnold P. Govern Gold Humanism Honor Society and attended residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. As the leading specialist in robotics and minimally invasive spinal surgery in North Texas, Dr. Booher has published numerous articles and textbook chapters on the topic.

Today, Dr. Booher is the Neurosurgeon, owner and founder of Longhorn Brain & Spine in Forth Worth, Texas where he offers his patients the cutting edge of modern spinal surgery.

Next up, in our Physician Spotlight Series: Meet one of Texas' most prestigious Neurosurgeons, Dr. Jeremy Denning.

Dr Denning specializes in minimally invasive surgeries of the entire spine and is also one of the most sought-after spinal deformity specialists in Texas. His practice regularly sees patients from all over Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

"I am very excited to be able to offer this technology to my patients. I was one of the very first surgeons in the country to use this product, and I am thrilled to continue to offer the very best, minimally-invasive options for each patient's unique needs.

Whether it is Invisifuse, or other advanced technologies we offer, I believe patients today want, and expect, the most innovative solutions that are available”.

A native Texan, Dr. Denning graduated with honors from Howard Payne University with degrees in biology and broadcast journalism and attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, graduating first in his class.

Dr. Denning is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. His neurosurgical training has included chief resident positions at The Methodist Hospital, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Ben Taub General Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital and the Michael E. DeBakey Veteran’s Affairs. Following his residency, he was awarded a fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at New York University Medical Center in New York and a preceptorship in cerebrovascular surgery.

Dr. Denning is on staff at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Plano, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas — where he serves as Chairman of the Neurosurgical Department — and Methodist Hospital for Surgery.

One of the top questions we receive is "do you accept my insurance?"

When prescribed by a surgeon, almost all insurances - including Medicare and VA - reimburse for spinal surgery; including any medical devices used in the surgery.

This information will be reviewed, as well as any other questions you may have, during your consultation with a surgeon.

Contact us today to schedule your appointment, or visit www.invisifuse.com to learn more.

Invisifuse has transformed the process of spinal fusion, which has traditionally required the use of screws and rods. Utilizing a significantly smaller, non-metal device, Invisifuse reduces the likelihood of complications and minimizes post-operative recovery times.

We are excited to announce for 2021 our new Physician spotlight series, where each week you can get to know one of our world-class, Invisifuse trained surgeons.

This week, it is our pleasure to feature one of Texas’ finest Neurosurgeons: Dr. Samir Lapsiwala, MD.

“I’m very excited about adding INVISIFUSE as yet another conservative alternative that I can offer my patients. Being able to offer innovative solutions to traditional fusion surgery is something I feel an obligation to continually improve as a medical practitioner.”

Dr. Lapsiwala has a large amount of experience dealing with Herniated Discs, Spinal Stenosis, and Spinal Fusion surgery. Dr. Lapsiwala’s treatment philosophy is, first and foremost, to care for his patients as if they were his family or friends.

He is a strong believer in exhausting all conservative treatment measures first, then if surgery is needed, to take the most minimally invasive approach.

Each patient has their own unique story complete with their own problems; therefore, their treatment plan must, also, be as equally unique. Dr. Lapsiwala’s goal for his patients are to create the proper treatment plan so he can get them back to enjoying their lives as quickly as possible.

Please see website for education and experience.
