Ana has been working at the Highlands for 2 years! She has been such an amazing asset to our dietary team and such a light to our residents and staff.
On her free time, Ana enjoys cooking and listening to music!!

The Highlands Guest Care Center Team would like to say, "Happy National Senior Citizen’s Day Dallas-Fort Worth Community!"
President Ronald Reagan established this observance in 1988 through Proclamation 5847, designating August 21st as National Senior Citizens Day.

The purpose of this day is to:
1.) Recognize and honor the achievements and lifelong contributions of older Americans to their families, communities, and the nation.
2.) Highlight the valuable role seniors play in shaping families, neighborhoods, and the country.
3.) Reminding the community to Spend quality time with senior citizens in your life, such as visiting them, calling them, or engaging in activities they enjoy.
4.) Foster intergenerational connections by encouraging younger generations to engage with seniors through storytelling, activities, or mentorship.

Meet Earlene Cuba, Certified Medication Aide and Certified Nursing Assistant
“I love the medical field. I love what I do. I enjoy every chance I get to better myself and improve my skills in nursing. Becoming a staffing coordinator, I feel, will give me knowledge on the administration side of nursing as well.”

Earlene is such an amazing, strong, and dedicated employee at Highlands. We are so grateful to have her and the residents love her too.

We just hired Carolyn as our new ADON. She has been working for the Highlands as a LVN since 2023 and has been an amazing caregiver and leader in our facility. We are super excited to have Carolyn in this management role and excited to see all the great things she will do.

Memorial Day is here! For many of us, that means a Day of Rest, Barbequing, Being with our Families, and the official kickoff to summer. But before you head to the lake or start your backyard barbecue, keep in mind that the reason for this special day is to "HONOR" those who have lost their lives serving our Great Country! The Team here at the Highlands Guest Care Center want to say, "Thank you to the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Home of the free, because of the brave."
