Kiana has been a CNA for 8yrs. She is new to Texas and has been with us at The Highlands for just a few months. In the short time she has been here, Kiana has already made such an impact on our team and residents. She is very hardworking and such a light in our facility!

Good Monday Morning Dallas–Fort Worth Community —

We have seen some real winter conditions these past few days, and we want to remind everyone to please check on your elderly loved ones, neighbors, and anyone living alone — especially those without reliable heat. Even a quick phone call, a knock on the door, or offering help with groceries and medications can truly make the difference during extreme cold.

Here at The Highlands Guest Care Center, our residents have stayed safe, warm, and cared for — and we’ve even found ways to make the snow a little fun. Our residents enjoyed watching team members build snowmen, make snow angels, and bring a little joy to these snowy days.

Inside, we kept it cozy with homemade Hot Chocolate, warm Apple Cider, and some incredible “Made from Scratch” comfort meals — including homemade soups and hearty recipes prepared by our amazing Dietary Team.

And because preparation matters, our center is supported by a state-of-the-art industrial Generac power generator, helping ensure we remain ready and fully operational even during unexpected outages.

If you know someone who is without power or exposed to unsafe conditions, we can help with a Respite Care stay during extreme weather.

Most importantly, we want to say, "Thank You" to our incredible Highlands Team for your hard work, dedication, and compassion — especially during challenging weather. Because of you, our residents are not only safe and cared for… they feel at home!

We are proud to be a warm, caring place to support the Dallas–Fort Worth community — and we’re always here when you need us. Again, please take a moment today to check on someone elderly — one small check-in can make all the difference.
