Avant Trials is a SMO with a network of independent clinical sites across USA. Avant is not a study brokerage company and neither are we a full services SMO.
We position ourselves as a functional service provider specializing in study startup activities. At Avant We do not charge any fees from our network sites or sponsors / CROs instead if a site is selected for a study we negotiate a study budget with the site which covers all costs incurred at the site. We then negotiate a single budget with sponsors for multiple sites. The difference in both amount
s accounts for the revenue of Avant. Avant will receive payments directly from sponsors on behalf of our sites. After receiving the payments Avant will disburse payments to sites as per the terms agreed in the budget negotiated between Avant and site. This model allows the site risk-free business development as we only get paid when a site receives payment from a sponsor and there is no additional cost to be borne by the site. Negotiating a single budget with Avant allows sponsors/ CTA to save time in back and forth budget negotiations with multiple sites which ultimately expedites the study startup process.
