Did anyone else see this beautiful sight yesterday or have you seen it before? This was my first time seeing an inverted rainbow. Shout out to my sister for looking it up. Why I happens is cool but what stands out to me is the symbolic meaning. It's exactly what I was feeling well before I ever saw it.

Spiritually, it is often interpreted as a "divine smile," a sign of joy, or a "message in the sky" symbolizing upliftment and hope.

What is Corrective Bodywork?

The goal of Corrective Bodywork is to help you regain dynamic balance, reduce, or eliminate pain, prevent, or rehab from injury, optimize performance, understand what's going on with your body, and to learn what you can do to maintain the results we achieve.

What you can expect to feel is the separation muscles that are stuck together, muscles that are displaced being put back where they belong, and lengthening muscles that are stuck short. We do all of this in a pressure that's specific to you.

My Self-love Journey: Mind, Body, and Spirit(Part 4)

My Spirit

What I believe has been most detrimental to my spirit are the many times in my life I've moved away from or flat-out didn't know what authenticity was for me. This usually revolved around changing my goals and aspirations for the sake of building something with romantic partners and trying to be who they needed me to be rather than who I am deeply. Usually, placing all of their wants and needs above my own. The time for that has ended, and my spirit has never felt more free. What loving my spirit has looked like is taking accountability for the impact of my decisions, learning to have a strong boundaries in regards to core beliefs, trusting my intuition(because of course there was always warning signs I ignored prior to the lessons I learned the hard way), and being intentional about making decisions and taking action that is in alignment with my purpose.

My goal here isn't to say, do the things I did but to express the value self exploration has in maximizing our potential as multidimensional beings(mind, body, and spirit).

My Self-love Journey: Mind, Body, and Spirit(Part 3)


My Body

Physical has been the toughest piece as I've gotten older. There was a time when working out and being active generally were a passion. It was easy to forget how much I once loved working out, running, and playing sports. Coming out of high school, I was adamant about working jobs that were active. I knew I wouldn't enjoy restaurants, fast food, or desk jobs. There came a time when my priorities shifted to making sure I was able to work. So, I stopped playing sports out of fear of missing work due to injury. That eventually led to not being active at all outside of work. What self-love has looked like for my body is reconnecting to that passion for movement in a way that fits my values going forward. It's centered around total health and wellness. Being mindful about what I put into and on my body, intentional movement based on what my body needs for balance and recovery is how im showing my body I love it.

My Self-love Journey: Mind, Body, and Spirit (Part 2)

My Mind

Something I've sought most of my life is to be deeply understood by others, especially those I'm close to. At about 26, it became clear that this deep understanding had to start with me. Since then, I've been committed to learning as much as I can about myself. My goal was to understand why I made the decisions I had made up to that point. Once I got all the answers I could get on my own, I turned my attention to the world around me, wanting to understand why others make the decisions they do. Observation, conversation, and content on YouTube surrounding psychology and philosophy are how I did this. I quickly learned that understanding others would give me more insight into myself. We are indeed mirrors for one another. Seeking growth, surrounding myself with people who value growth, and being accountable for my actions have been the keys to giving my mind the love it needs.

My Self-love Journey: Mind, Body, and Spirit (Part 1)

I firmly believe we can only love others to the level that we love ourselves. To me, self love varys from person to person because the things that fill our cups vary. Like most things, there is no one size fits all expedited solution to self-love. Dedication to consistently showing up for yourself is more than just buying nice things. The more I've come to understand myself, I've gained clarity around what self-love looks like for me. The primary focus as of late has been nurturing my whole self(mind, body, and spirit). I'd describe the process so far as a combination of healing past wounds/generational trauma, accountability for my role in anything I considered suffering, and reconnecting with things that feed my whole self.
