It’s often said that athletes make great healthcare providers!

Dr. Sydney has an athletic background in Acrobatic Gymnastics, CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting. Dr. Sydney started gymnastics when she was 8 years old and competed in multiple national and international competitions until she was 17. Sydney competed in 7 National competitions placing in the top 6 at each one!

During her gymnastics career she was also selected for the International Competition Team in 2012 where she went on to compete in Switzerland. She was selected for the 11-16 Age Group National Team a year later where she was selected to compete in Bulgaria and Germany. Dr. Sydney finished her gymnastics career off strong with her last competition in Poland where her group was the only team representing the USA.

After gymnastics, Dr.Sydney began her next journey in CrossFit where she went on to compete in 10+ local events in South Louisiana. It was through CrossFit that she discovered her love for the barbell and she transitioned to Olympic Weightlifting. Dr. Sydney qualified to compete in the 2019 USA Weightlifting Junior Nationals and the American Open Series 3, placing in the top 15 for her total in both competitions! Today, Dr. Sydney continues to train and compete in Olympic Weightlifting.
